The same ground rules apply: the van stops within 50 metres of where the kit is pitched, the access route is at least 36 inches wide, and every inflatable runs off its own 13A socket within 20 metres. Parking for the van is down to the hirer, and if the nearest socket is a long way from the kit, the generator travels with us. The paperwork is ready for any venue, school office or wedding planner that asks. The insurance runs to £10 million public liability with licensed-premises cover on top, every inflatable is PIPA tagged with a number you can look up on the national database, the electrical kit is PAT tested each year, and the risk assessment and method statement are sent out with the booking. Our own people run the events, holding the RPII operator and supervisor exams, first-aid and enhanced DBS checks, and outdoor inflatables go out with an anemometer and the written 24mph shutdown rule.
