Bar & Bat Mitzvah Entertainment
Bar & Bat Mitzvah Entertainment Hire
Bar mitzvah and bat mitzvah party entertainment has one main job: keeping a room full of thirteen-year-olds and their grandparents busy at the same time. The items on this page split into three groups that tend to work together. The Magic Selfie Mirror and photo booth give everyone something to take home, the arcade and table games keep the teenagers occupied, and the dance machine gives the party a focal point with music and lights. What fits depends mostly on the room, so have the venue's floor measurements to hand when you enquire.
The Magic Selfie Mirror is usually the first thing we suggest for a mitzvah. It is a full-length mirror in a gold-effect frame with an LED border, and guests pose in front of it, grab something from the prop case, and get a printed photo in their hand a few seconds later. Digital copies can go out by email or text for anyone who wants the picture on their phone, and we can put the guest of honour's name and the date across the bottom of every print. It comes with a red carpet runner and rope posts to mark the queue, and one of our staff stays with it for the whole party.
If you would rather have a booth people step inside, the classic photo booth takes four shots against a red curtain and prints the strip with the event name and date along the bottom. Prints are unlimited for the duration, which works out around 400 photos on a three-hour booking, and the whole night's pictures go onto a USB stick we hand over before we leave. A prop box comes with it as standard.
For the teenagers, the 80s retro arcade cabinets go out as a pair with more than 600 games loaded between them, four players at once, and they sit on ordinary banqueting tables rather than needing floor space of their own. The cocktail arcade table is the sit-down 60-in-1 version with Pac-Man, Space Invaders and Galaga, and the Atari Pong table is the officially licensed electromechanical remake of the 1972 original, with real paddles moving under the glass. The air hockey table is 7.5ft of head-to-head with an electronic scorer, and it rarely sits unused for long. All of these run off ordinary 13amp sockets and stay indoors or under a marquee.
The twin dance machine is the loudest item here in the best way. Two players go head to head following the steps on screen while the built-in disco lights and speakers do the rest, and it comes with one of our operators who keeps the games moving all evening. If the venue has a bit of flat floor or lawn going spare, the portable crazy golf is nine putting mats that work indoors or out, and it suits the grandparents and the little cousins as much as the teenagers.
Mitzvahs are usually in hotels, function halls or community venues, and those venues tend to want paperwork before anyone sets up. We carry £10 million public liability insurance including the additional licensed-premises cover, and risk assessments and method statements are available for the venue's file. Every member of our team is enhanced-DBS registered, which matters when the party is full of children, and the photo booths and dance machine always come with one of our own staff. We have run Monster Event Hire from our unit in Havant since 2002, the kit is all ours rather than sub-hired, and the electrics are PAT-tested every year.
When you enquire, send the venue, the room measurements, the date and rough timings, and roughly how many guests are coming. We will tell you what genuinely fits the space rather than sending you the whole catalogue.
