Waterlooville is barely five miles up the A3 from the workshop. For most jobs there the kit is on site within twenty minutes of leaving the yard, which makes last-minute weekend bookings reasonable to pull off. Site details and the paperwork

Most Waterlooville sites are school fields, community grounds and back gardens, and a couple of details help us plan. The working numbers are fixed: the kit is set up within 50 metres of the van, the way in is at least 36 inches wide, and each unit takes power from a 13A socket within 20 metres. Parking for the van is down to the hirer, and a generator comes along when the nearest socket is out of lead length. Because the workshop is so close, a last-minute power question is usually settled in an hour.

The insurance is £10 million public liability with licensed-premises cover, each inflatable is PIPA tagged with a number you can verify on the national register, the electrics carry PAT certificates, and the risk assessment and method statement are sent with the booking. The people on the day are Monster's own crew, RPII-qualified, first-aid trained and enhanced-DBS checked, and every outdoor inflatable goes out with an anemometer and the 24mph wind procedure.
