Interactive Play Table Hire
The Interactive Play Table - sometimes called an IPS game, a light-reaction table, or a Batak-style inflatable game - is a two to four player reaction game built around a squat, arched green inflatable. The playing surface has ten dome-shaped LED sensors arranged in two rows across the top, each one wirelessly linked to a freestanding scoreboard standing alongside the table. The sensors light up at random in the players' assigned colours, and each player hits every one showing their colour as fast as they can before the light goes out. The scoreboard tracks both scores in real time and announces the winner when the minute is up.
There are three game modes built in. Light Hunter is the basic race: hit your sensors before your opponent hits theirs and rack up the higher score. Steal the Light changes how the points are counted, so the scoring plays out differently between the two sides. Back to Base adds a nominated home sensor that you have to return to between hits, which takes some of the frantic scramble out of it and brings positioning in alongside raw speed. All three are different enough that a group can cycle through them without it feeling like the same game each time.
Rounds run for one minute. You can play one against one with a player at each long side of the table, or two against two with one player at each short end as well. Short rounds mean people wait their turn without wandering off, and with both players moving at once there is usually enough going on that spectators stay and watch.

Interactive Play Table hire across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and London
We deliver and set up from our unit in Havant, and we've been running Monster Event Hire since 2002. All the kit is ours - no sub-contracting - and the electrical equipment is PAT-tested annually. Our staff are RPII-trained, hold enhanced DBS checks, and are first-aid certified, which matters when the booking is a school, a youth group or any event involving children. We carry £10 million public liability insurance, with a certificate available on request. We also hold licensed-premises cover, which most hire companies don't, so there's no issue if your venue is a pub, club or bar.
Lee Alexander from CooperVision wrote after their event: "I'd just like to email you to say thank you for the brilliant service you have given us from the first email to the day and a very big thanks to the man you sent with the hire equipment for doing a great job and being very pleasant. We will be sure to use you for future events."
For a larger version with the same three game modes, the Interactive Play System needs more floor space but plays the same way. The Lights Out Challenge is a tabletop two-player reaction game with a different format. See the full electronic games range for everything else.
