Corporate Event and Team-Building Hire

Corporate event hire covers quite different jobs: a company sports day with organised heats, an induction or team-building day built around group rotations, a summer BBQ or family day where people join in when they feel like it, or a staff event split between a function room and the grounds. The useful starting point is the number of people, the site and how structured the day needs to be, rather than picking the largest item in the list.

The product cards below include large assault courses, short-round competitive games, team activities, target sports and compact electronic games. Some need a lorry close to the pitch and several sockets; some fit indoors; many come with one of our operators throughout. The notes below explain the differences before you make a shortlist.

Company sports days

For a company sports day, it helps to choose one activity that anchors the timetable and then add enough shorter games to stop everybody waiting for the next heat. An inflatable assault course gives you an obvious race. The card list has the 150ft Army Assault Course, the two-lane 100ft Boot Camp Challenge and the 80ft Big Red course, but their site requirements are not interchangeable. The 150ft course uses six standard 13amp sockets; Boot Camp needs four, drive-on access and at least 110ft of clear, flat space; Big Red uses three sockets and also needs driveable access.

An 86ft Army Assault Course was used at a West Sussex company BBQ and sports day in July 2026. At a company sports day at Lakeside North Harbour in June, the Last Man Standing Sweeper was used to finish the sports games. The Sweeper takes eight players and can be run as a knockout, while Dash N Grab also takes eight for short rounds. Those are useful alongside a longer course because people can rotate between different formats rather than queue for one race all afternoon.

Induction and team-building days

For induction days and structured team-building, think in teams and time slots before choosing the kit. Human table football takes two teams of five, with everybody held to a fixed side-to-side position on the padded bars. The Multi Sports Arena can switch between volleyball, basketball, netball, badminton and five-a-side football, with our operator handling the changeovers. Combat Tag Archery is usually played five a side and works on grass or in a sports hall, while traditional archery gives up to four people a turn at once.

Not everybody wants the whole day to be a physical race. Laser Shot is a single-player shooting simulator needing roughly 3m by 4.5m, one socket and indoor or marquee cover. The Gold Cup Horse Racing Challenge gives four people a short head-to-head game and also uses one standard socket. Mixing these with the larger team kit gives people another way to join in.

Summer BBQs and company family days

A summer BBQ or company family day is usually less regimented, so age range and queueing matter. The pedal go-karts have adjustable seats, cover ages five to adult and come with an operator; the optional inflatable track needs a 20m by 15m area, two sockets and driveable access. The Grand Bounce National is a staffed four-lane race for children and adults. If families are coming, give us the age range rather than assuming every product card suits every child.

Mixed indoor and outdoor events

A returning company's charity day in Southampton in June 2026 used electrical games and a rodeo bull indoors, with the climbing wall and an assault course outside. That is a sensible way to plan a site with both a function room and grounds, but each zone still needs checking. The rodeo bull needs a flat 20ft by 20ft operating area, about 10ft of clear height, a standard socket and at least one metre of access. The climbing wall is ten metres tall and needs clear vehicle access, so it cannot be moved inside simply because there is floor space.

The electronic games range is the place to look for more indoor options. Send the room dimensions, clear ceiling height, floor level, access route and available power with the outdoor site plan. That lets us rule out what will not fit before either side spends time arranging the wrong combination.

Staffing and procurement

The Sweeper, climbing wall, archery, Combat Tag Archery, laser clay shooting, human table football, Multi Sports Arena, pedal go-karts and Dash N Grab are staffed throughout by our own operators. Assault courses can be supplied for your competent adult to supervise or with one of our operators; tell us if you want us to run timed heats rather than just set up the course. Everyone on our team has passed the RPII operator and supervisor examinations, is first-aid trained and enhanced-DBS registered.

We have run Monster Event Hire since 2002 and now work from our commercial unit in Havant. The fleet and staff are our own rather than sub-hired through an agency. We carry £10 million public liability insurance. Risk assessments and method statements are available for the procurement file, inflatables are PIPA-tagged and inspected annually, electrical kit is PAT-tested, and the climbing wall and Sweeper are among the mechanical devices covered by ADIPS inspections.
