Multi Sports Arena

The Multi Sports Arena - sometimes listed as an inflatable sports arena, inflatable sports court or inflatable volleyball hire - is a 40ft x 20ft enclosed inflatable arena with a bouncy floor, mesh sides and a goal net. Blue with inflatable brown palm tree pillars and green fronds at the tops, it's big enough to run five sports inside: volleyball, basketball, netball, badminton and 5-a-side football.

The mesh panels along the sides let people outside watch what's happening in the arena, which means people who aren't playing tend to gather round and watch rather than drift off. Our operator runs it throughout your hire, handling sports changeovers, the queue and any match or competition format you want.

The bouncy floor is what makes it different from a regular pitch. Volleyball is harder to read when the ground shifts underfoot, basketball shots are less predictable when you're jumping on an inflatable surface, and a five-a-side football match on a bouncy floor tends to look nothing like anything you'd set up on a school field. It tends to level things out between people who are good at a sport and people who aren't, which is part of why it goes down well with mixed-ability groups and on corporate team days.

Works well at

Corporate team-building days and staff fun days come up most, but we take it out for school sports days and reward days, family fun days, village fêtes, community festivals and large birthday parties. The size means it can keep a good-sized group going for a full afternoon, particularly if you rotate the sports or run team competitions through the day. We've run Monster Event Hire from our commercial unit in Havant since 2002, and all the kit is ours - no sub-contractors, no agency staff on the day. The arena carries a PIPA tag and is inspected annually by our own in-house RPII inspector. All the electrics are PAT-tested each year. Every member of staff has passed the RPII operator and supervisor examinations, is first-aid trained and holds an enhanced DBS check, which matters for school, council and youth-group bookings. We carry £10 million Public Liability Insurance, with the certificate available on request, and we hold additional licensed-premises cover for bookings at pubs, clubs and bars.
