Party Marquee Hire

Our party marquees are Capri marquees, the frame type with the peaked roof and window panels down the sides. They are a lightweight frame marquee rather than a heavy pole tent, so they go up on grass without much fuss and the interior is clear of centre poles. The roof peaks give you decent headroom throughout and the windows let in natural light during the day.

We carry four sizes: 20' x 20', 20' x 30', 28' x 38', and 28' x 58'. The table at the bottom of this page gives you the standing and seated capacities for each, which helps if you are working out tables, food stations, a bar or a dance floor.

What they suit

The marquees turn up at garden weddings where the reception is at home, birthday parties that have outgrown the lounge, school summer fairs, corporate family days, and community events on village greens and recreation grounds. They are useful for any outdoor event where you want covered space people can move around in comfortably, regardless of whether it rains or the sun is beating down.

Most bookings are for garden parties and weddings, but we have put them on school fields for prize-giving afternoons, on council festival sites, and at charity fundraisers where the stall holders needed shelter. If you are thinking about using one to cover an activity rather than guests (a games area, a bar, a band), tell us when you enquire because it changes what we need to check about the layout.

The practical stuff

Capri marquees need a flat grassed area, not hard standing. The ground has to take the anchor pins, and there is no workaround for concrete or tarmac. Check the space against the size you want before you book, because we cannot put a 28' x 58' marquee on a tight suburban lawn.

We deliver, set up, and come back to take it down afterwards, the crew handles the lot. We will want to know the venue, the ground type, the access route for the van, the timings, and roughly how many guests you are expecting before we quote, so we can check the practical fit. If the site is tight, send us a photo and we will have a look before anything is confirmed.

The kit and the paperwork

The marquees are part of our own fleet, owned outright and not sub-hired from anyone else. We have been running from our commercial unit in Havant since 2002, and we carry £10 million Public Liability Insurance with the additional licensed-premises cover that lets us work at pubs and clubs. The certificate is yours on request, and risk assessments and method statements come as standard with every booking.

Where we cover

We deliver and set up party marquees across Hampshire, Surrey, West Sussex and London, from Portsmouth and Southampton up through Basingstoke, Guildford and into south-west London. If you are outside that area, give us a ring anyway and we will tell you whether the journey works.
