Summer fun day at the Forest Community Centre
Community fun day for the Whitehill & Bordon Town Partnership with the climbing wall, bouncy castle, mega slide, 3 in 1 sports inflatable, football speed cage, interactive play system and giant darts.
Bordon and Whitehill run as one town either side of the A325, about 21 miles north of the workshop, A3 most of the way with a short run off at the end. The work here is East Hampshire community work: town fun days, school events and the family parties around GU35, all delivered with our own crew and kit from the Havant yard.
The Whitehill & Bordon Town Partnership has us back every year, and twice a year at that. Their summer community fun day fills the Forest Community Centre with the climbing wall, a bouncy castle, the mega slide, the 3 in 1 sports inflatable, the football speed cage, the interactive play system and the giant darts, and their Christmas event lands on the first weekend of December each year. A standing booking like that is the shape of our Bordon diary, and a school fair or a garden party in the town gets the same kit, the same operators and the same paperwork the partnership sees.
The smaller themed castles suit garden parties, the garden games go anywhere with a flat patch of grass, and school sports days and reward days take the assault courses, the football speed cage and the staffed attractions like archery and the climbing wall. If the day is a fun day on the town green rather than a back garden, the inflatable hire range covers the bigger pieces.
Bordon sites are community centres, school fields and gardens, and the practical figures are the same as everywhere else we work. The kit stands within 50 metres of where the van stops, the route in is at least 36 inches wide, and every inflatable runs off its own 13A socket within 20 metres, with a generator brought along when the nearest power is out of reach. Parking for the van sits with the hirer, and the Forest Community Centre side of town is the sort of site where the access is straightforward but worth mentioning anyway.
The paperwork pack is sent with the quote: £10 million public liability insurance with the licensed-premises cover, PIPA-tagged inflatables inspected every year by our own RPII inspector, PAT-tested electrics, and the risk assessment and method statement ready for any council office, school or partnership committee that asks. The crew who set up and run everything are Monster's own, first-aid trained and enhanced-DBS registered.
Petersfield and Alton are the nearest towns, with Farnham just over the county line.
