Christmas Photo Booth

The Christmas photo booth - sometimes called a festive photobooth, Xmas photo booth or Christmas selfie pod - is an enclosed cabin wrapped in seasonal artwork that we bring to indoor events through the festive season.

The cabin uses the same curved pod enclosure as our standard photo booth, but wrapped in Christmas-themed panels: log cabin woodwork along the sides, snow effect at the base, wrapped gift boxes on the front panel, and a "Photo Booth" sign styled as a hanging wooden board. Guests step in through a black curtain, face the touchscreen camera, and take a set of four shots against a green screen Christmas background. There are several seasonal backgrounds to pick from - snowy garden scenes, winter woodland, a fireplace and hearth, a Santa’s grotto, blue snowflake designs, Christmas baubles in red and gold, and a handful more besides. Colour or black and white is selectable. The strip prints out with a festive wooden-style border, and we can add the event name, date or company logo across the bottom at no extra charge.

The prop table comes with Christmas-specific kit as standard: reindeer antler headbands, inflatable snowmen and reindeers, novelty glasses, feather boas and speech-bubble signs. The booth area is set off with chrome bollards and a red rope cordon, and an LED-lit red carpet leads up to the entrance.

Indoor and marquee hire only

The Christmas photo booth is for indoor venues and marquees, not outside. It needs a clear flat space similar to our standard booth - most hotel function rooms, village halls and marquee setups have plenty of room for it.

Where it tends to go

Corporate Christmas parties and office events are a common booking, partly because the branded print option means guests take away a strip with the company name on it. It also works at winter weddings, private Christmas parties, school festive events and community evenings. The licensed-premises insurance means we’re cleared to work at pubs, clubs and hotel bars as well as village halls and marquees.

How we work

We’ve run Monster Event Hire from our unit in Havant since 2002, covering Hampshire and Surrey and into Sussex and London. All the kit is ours - we don’t sub-contract or pass bookings to agencies - so the person on site is one of our own staff. Every member of the team is first-aid trained and enhanced-DBS registered, which matters wherever children or schools are involved. The public liability insurance runs to £10 million with additional cover for licensed premises, and the insurance certificate is available on request. All electrical equipment is PAT-tested annually.
