Petersfield is about fourteen miles up the A3 from the workshop in Havant, a fifteen-minute run on a clear day. We've been working across East Hampshire for many years: the district council, schools, scout and guide groups, weddings at the country venues out around Buriton and Steep, and a long list of village fêtes across GU31 and GU32.

What we run in Petersfield

The East Hampshire District Council community festival ran with us for five years from its very first year, and Lucy Soal from Community Services credited our flexibility, attitude and willingness to help for the council coming back year on year. Site details and the paperwork

Sites round here are school fields, village greens and country-house lawns, and a few details help us plan. The ground rules are the same as anywhere we work: the van stops within 50 metres of where the kit is pitched, the access route is at least 36 inches wide, and every inflatable wants a 13A socket within 20 metres. Parking for the van is the hirer's job, and if the nearest socket is a long way from the kit, the generator comes with us.

The paperwork is ready for a venue or council compliance check. The insurance is £10 million public liability with the licensed-premises cover, every inflatable is PIPA tagged and re-inspected each year by our in-house RPII inspector, the electrics are PAT tested, and the risk assessment and method statement go out with the booking. Our own staff deliver and run the kit, holding the RPII operator and supervisor exams, first-aid and enhanced DBS checks, and every outdoor inflatable goes out with an anemometer and the 24mph wind rule.
