Big Balls Challenge - Inflatable Obstacle Game Hire

The Big Balls Challenge is the Wipeout-style inflatable run with four large coloured balls down the middle and a ladder up to a raised platform at each end. The idea is straightforward: climb the ladder onto the first platform, step out onto the first ball, and make it across all four to the platform at the far end without falling off. It runs for one player at a time, and an operator from our team stays with it throughout.

It's a big piece of kit, 60ft long by 27ft wide and 15ft high (about 18m × 8m × 5m), so you'll need clear, driveable access for setup. The balls are striped in greens, yellows, oranges and blues, and the run itself is branded "Extreme Balls" along the side. It needs one standard 13amp plug for the blower.

It works indoors and outdoors, and we've put it up in sports halls and on outdoor fields. For outdoor hire we supply an anemometer with the kit, along with a written procedure: recordings every thirty minutes by a competent adult, mandatory evacuation at 24mph (Force 5), and the inflatable shut down. That's the protocol on every outdoor inflatable hire we do.

The challenge suits players aged 10 and over.

What you get with the hire

Every hire comes with an operator from our own team, not a sub-contractor. They've passed the RPII operator and supervisor exams, they're first-aid trained, and every member of our staff is enhanced-DBS registered. We own the kit outright, it lives in our workshop in Havant, and our in-house RPII inspector tags it annually under the PIPA scheme (the only inflatable inspection scheme recognised by the HSE). The £10 million public liability certificate and the risk assessment for the equipment are available on request, and we hold the additional cover for licensed premises if you're booking at a pub or club. We've been doing this since 2002.
