The practical limits are the same as anywhere we work: the van stops within 50 metres of where the kit is set up, the access route is at least 36 inches wide, and every inflatable runs off its own 13A socket within 20 metres. Parking for the van is down to the hirer, and if the nearest power point is a long way from the kit we bring a generator along.

The insurance runs to £10 million public liability with licensed-premises cover on top, each inflatable is PIPA tagged with a number you can look up on the national database, the electrical kit is PAT tested every year, and the risk assessment and method statement go out with the booking. Our own staff deliver and run everything, qualified to RPII operator and supervisor standard, first-aid trained and enhanced-DBS checked, and every outdoor inflatable goes out with an anemometer and the 24mph wind rule.
