Cross Beam Challenge

The Cross Beam Challenge - sometimes called a beam balance challenge or an inflatable beam obstacle course - is a 35ft inflatable where players work their way from one end to the other, navigating a row of thick horizontal cylindrical beams that run across the 18ft width. The beams are spaced along the length, so you have to get past each one in turn. The floor is padded throughout and the whole unit tops out at 5ft, so a fall lands you on inflated PVC rather than anything unforgiving.

It works as a race - two or more people going head-to-head along the length - or as a straightforward team challenge where the aim is to get everyone through. It is part of our Wipeout range, which means it pairs well with other inflatables in that series if you want to put on a bigger event with several challenges running alongside each other.

Works well at

Corporate fun days, team-building events, school sports days, charity fun days, community festivals and large birthday parties. The course is easy to watch from the sides, so people waiting their turn have something to keep them engaged, and groups can rotate through at a reasonable pace.

Cross Beam Challenge hire across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and London

We deliver and set up from our commercial unit in Havant, and we've run Monster Event Hire since 2002. All the kit is ours - no sub-contracting - and every inflatable is PIPA-tagged and inspected annually by our in-house RPII inspector under BS EN 14960:2019. Our staff are RPII-trained, hold enhanced DBS checks and are first-aid certified. We carry £10 million public liability insurance, with a certificate available on request. We also hold licensed-premises cover, which most hire companies do not carry, so there is no issue with pubs, clubs or licensed bars.

The Ball Run Challenge is another Wipeout-range inflatable - an enclosed 60ft tunnel where players cross stepping pads while swinging balls try to knock them off. The Sweeper is the rotating-arm version, where players on a circular platform try to outlast a swinging boom. The Challenger is another from the Wipeout range, at 50ft long.
