Rodeo Rides
Our rodeo rides - also known as mechanical bulls or bucking broncos - are some of the most popular items in our fleet for drawing a crowd. We use high-quality GS Engineering multi-ride units with interchangeable attachments, meaning we can match the ride to your event theme. While the rodeo bull is the traditional choice for competitive challenges and 18th birthdays, the rodeo sheep and rodeo pig offer a gentler, more humorous look that works well at weddings and family fun days. We also have seasonal options like the rodeo reindeer for Christmas parties and the rodeo pumpkin for Halloween, plus rodeo side-stall games if you want smaller western-themed games around the main ride.
Every rodeo hire is fully staffed by one of our trained RPII operators. They control the speed and bucking motion from a dedicated console, starting slow for beginners and ramping it up for those looking for a challenge. Safety is managed through an automatic stop feature that cuts the motion the moment a rider falls onto the padded inflatable bed.
To set up, we need a flat operating space of roughly 20ft x 20ft (6m x 6m) and a standard 13A domestic power socket within reach. If you are booking for an indoor venue, please check you have at least 10ft (3m) of height clearance. Because the base units are heavy, we require a minimum of 1m width for access and cannot move the kit up or down stairs.
We've provided rodeo entertainment for everything from charity awareness events in Southampton city centre to corporate staff parties and weddings across Hampshire, Surrey and London. As with all our equipment, we own the fleet outright and carry £10 million public liability insurance, with risk assessments and method statements available for your venue's paperwork.

Frequently asked questions
How much space do I need for a rodeo bull hire?
You need a flat operating area of at least 20ft x 20ft (6m x 6m). If you are using the ride indoors, the ceiling height must be at least 10ft (3m) to allow for the rider's head height when bucked.
Is the mechanical bull safe for children?
Yes, provided they meet the height requirement of 1.2m and can mount the bull unaided. Our operators adjust the speed and spin for younger riders, and the unit features an automatic stop sensor that halts the bull as soon as the rider falls onto the padded inflatable bed.
Can the rodeo ride be used outdoors if it rains?
We cannot operate the ride in heavy rain or in winds exceeding 24mph. However, we can supply a 21ft inflatable spider marquee to cover the ride, which allows the event to continue in light rain and drizzle.
What power supply is required?
The rodeo unit runs from a single standard 13A domestic mains socket. If your event is in a field with no mains power, we can provide a generator at an additional cost.
