Magnetic Leaderboard Hire

A magnetic leaderboard - a magnetic scoreboard or an event scoreboard, depending who's asking - is a tall freestanding board that keeps score with white magnetic strips. You write each name or team on a strip with the dry-wipe marker that clips to the top of the board, and the strips lift off and move up and down as the results come in, so the leader ends the day at the top and nobody spends it rubbing out a chalkboard.

Ours arrived as a pair of tall black boards with ten strips each, standing on flat bases with a marker clipped to every board. There's nothing to plug in and nothing to inflate, so they work wherever the scoring happens: the results table at a school sports day, the stage at an awards do, or the side of a trade stand where a competition needs a visible running order.

They earn their keep beside the activities that generate the scores: the interactive darts and its running tallies, the shuffleboard league in the corner, the Crazy Golf 2 course at a wedding reception, or the pedal go-karts grand prix grid.
