Christmas Entertainment Winchester
Winchester Christmas work leans on the college and university calendar: we ran the Sparsholt College Christmas ball in December 2025 with a selection of electronic games, the magic mirror and a racing simulator, which is the shape of a good ball booking. Hotel and venue dos across SO21 to SO23 take the rodeo reindeer and the photo booth, and the cathedral-city December diary fills early.
At a Winchester ball or a big staff do the spread usually runs to three or four pieces: a rodeo reindeer or the snowboard simulator as the headline, the magic selfie mirror or Christmas photo booth against the wall, and electronic fillers such as the racing simulator and the retro arcade machines for the queues in between. Smaller Winchester rooms lean on the table games, and Whack an Elf plus the Christmas mega wire do that job without eating floor space.
This work has run from our own commercial unit in Havant since 2002, with a fleet we own outright and no sub-contracting. Every item that needs a plug is PAT-tested, the rodeo machines carry ADIPS certification, our staff are enhanced-DBS registered, and the £10 million public liability certificate plus the additional licensed-premises cover can go out with the Winchester quote.
Christmas work sits alongside the rest of the Winchester diary rather than replacing it, and the same crew who deliver the rodeo bull in summer bring the reindeer attachment in December. The Winchester event hire page rounds up everything else, from the bouncy castles and assault courses of the summer fairs to the photo booths that work all year.
Book the Winchester date as early as you can, especially the Saturday nights either side of the office-party fortnight, because several of these pieces are staffed and the operators book out before the kit does. Tell us the venue, the evening's timings and the numbers expected, and we will put the Winchester package together.

Christmas party entertainment in Winchester - common questions
How far ahead should we book Christmas entertainment in Winchester?
December is the busiest month of the Winchester diary, and the first two weekends go first. Six to eight weeks ahead is comfortable for most items, and earlier is better for a Saturday night in mid-December with the rodeo reindeer or the grotto, because the staffed pieces are limited by people as much as kit.
Can you supply several attractions for one Winchester Christmas party?
That is the shape of most Winchester ball bookings: a headline piece such as the rodeo reindeer or the snowboard simulator, the magic mirror or the Christmas photo booth against the wall, and two or three electronic games for the queues. Multi-item bookings usually work out cheaper per item than hiring separately, and it all comes on one delivery to the Winchester venue.
Our Winchester venue is a hotel or pub with a licence. Is that a problem?
No. We carry additional licensed-premises insurance on top of the £10 million public liability policy, which is what licensed Winchester venues want to see before anyone sets up, and the certificates go out with the quote. Tell us the venue at enquiry stage and we will send the paperwork their way.
How much space and power does Christmas entertainment need at a Winchester venue?
The rodeo reindeer and the snowboard simulator each want a clear area of roughly 20ft by 20ft and one standard 13amp socket, the photo booths fit a level corner of about 2.3m by 1.25m, and the table games and arcade machines slot in wherever there is a table and a socket. Send the Winchester room measurements and we will confirm what fits before the date is held.
