Student Event Hire Gosport

College event hire in Gosport centres on St Vincent College, the sixth form college serving the peninsula, with its welcome and freshers events in September and leavers celebrations in the summer term. Student events this way are our shortest travel, around 15 miles from the Havant workshop along the M27 and the A32. We've worked the PO12 and PO13 patch for years, from primary school fêtes to the summer Passport Scheme down on the Solent seafront.

The St Vincent College year

St Vincent runs the standard sixth form calendar, and its events and enrichment teams book the kind of kit we hold for freshers week, welcome days, Christmas socials and the leavers afternoons that close the summer term. We haven't supplied an event at the college yet, and we'd sooner say so than dress up a story we can't back. What follows is what the kit does and how a college booking runs, which is the honest version.

Gosport itself keeps us busy through the season. The 2026 Passport Scheme, the summer programme Gosport Borough Council runs for the town's young people, had us on the Solent seafront with the Last Man Standing Sweeper after a Zorb Racing day earlier that week, and the Gosport Scouts' annual camp, a charity weekend for around 700 young people that we have supplied for years, took zorbing and pedal go-karts. Its organiser calls us "impeccable over the many years we have used them", which is the standing we'd bring to a college date here. The school fête circuit across PO12 and PO13 fills the early summer weekends, and the bigger venues here, from Stokes Bay to Walpole Park, are the sort that ask for the paperwork up front.

What a sixth form crowd responds to

The sweeper is the piece we'd put first for a college crowd, because it gathers a ring of spectators and hands out bragging rights to whoever lasts longest. Around it, the football speed cage, the dance machine and Under Pressure work as walk-up games that need no explaining, and a staffed photo booth printing on the night suits a leavers ball or an awards evening. Student accommodation socials and university welcome days elsewhere on our books run the same mix.

A college hall runs everything off standard 13amp sockets, which is what the electronic games are built for. A rodeo setup wants about 20ft square of floor with the ceiling height above it, so the hall measurements settle that question before anything else does. Outdoor kit travels with an anemometer and the 24mph wind cutoff, and on the seafront we'll check the forecast beforehand and give you a straight answer on the wind before you commit.

The compliance side

A sixth form crowd includes 16 and 17 year olds, so the safeguarding detail matters: every member of staff we send is enhanced-DBS registered and first-aid trained, and the crew have passed the RPII operator and supervisor exams. The cover is £10 million public liability including licensed-premises, the inflatables are PIPA-tagged with annual inspections, and the electricals are PAT-tested. Risk assessments and method statements go to the events team on request, and the workshop is contactable Monday to Saturday, 9 to 5, and Sundays from 10 to 4.

The Gosport event hire hub has the full list, and the student-facing local pages are rodeo bull hire Gosport, photo booth hire Gosport and shooting games hire Gosport. The calendar parents sit at students and freshers and colleges and universities, and the sweeper and dance machine pages cover two of the indoor pieces.

An enquiry with the college, the event type, the date, the hall or field, the timings and the rough headcount gets a same-day reply. Tell us whether the students come through in waves across the day and where the nearest sockets and access doors are, plus any procurement cutoff date. From Havant it's a short run, so even a midweek set-up is straightforward.

David & Mark were absolutely fantastic - we hired a rodeo bull for our student accommodation event and the residents absolutely loved it.
