The Catch It Drop It game mid-round: rods dropping from the arc and a player catching them before they land.

Manufacturer/supplier: Made for Arcade.
The Catch It Drop It game - Made for Arcade builds it as the Reaction Ring, and it's also called drop it catch it or the rod catching game - is a freestanding reaction game with ten rods hanging from a curved overhead rail. One player stands under the rail, the electromagnets holding the rods let them go in a random order, sometimes one at a time and sometimes a few together, and the idea is to catch each one before it hits the floor. The counter on the pillar keeps the score, so the next player has a number to beat. Rounds are short and people queue up for another go, which is what you want from a game sitting on a stand or in a room full of guests.
We have two of the units, one black and one white, and each one needs a working area of 2m by 2m with 2.1m of height. The machine itself stands about 1.5m tall and weighs 24-30kg, and it sets up in around 15 minutes, so it fits a typical exhibition stand, a corner of a marquee or a function room without any rigging or wall fixings. It runs off a standard 220-240 volt socket, and the maker's design also takes a 12-volt battery for pitches without power. The maker's manual puts the minimum age at 12, with younger players supervised. Like the rest of our powered kit, the electrics are PAT-tested annually.
Speed and difficulty are adjustable - ten speed levels and six difficulty settings, with one- and two-player modes in the maker's manual - so you can set it gentle for a mixed queue or brisk for the competitive lot. It belongs to the same family as the Batak Pro reaction wall, Chaos and the Lights Out challenge: short scored games played one at a time while everyone else watches. At a corporate event or student do that running scoreboard is half the entertainment, and on a stand it gives passers-by something to try in under a minute. The full electronic games range is on its own page, and the exhibition games page groups the kit that works best on stands.
We've run Monster Event Hire from our commercial unit in Havant since 2002, and everything we hire out is ours, delivered and supported by our own team with no sub-hiring. We carry £10 million public liability insurance, risk assessments are available for your paperwork, and the staff who run our games are first-aid trained and enhanced-DBS registered. Send the date, the venue and roughly how many people are coming through, and we'll confirm availability and quote for your space.

We used this company for our recent corporate staff event. Communication was excellent from start to finish. They arrived on time and had great interaction with the staff on the day. We will 100% be using them again.
