Mega Wire Hire
The Mega Wire - also known as buzz wire, steady hand game, or beat the bleep - is a large-format version of the classic fairground steady-hand challenge, built by Aquaventronics. Players guide a metal ring along 12 linear feet of winding metal tube without touching the sides. When they do, the buzzer sounds and the display flashes.
It tends to draw spectators as well as players. The frame is 4ft tall and 4ft wide, so it’s visible from across the room, and because each game is short, a group of people can get through it fairly quickly.
We hire the Mega Wire for Christmas parties, birthday parties, corporate events and team building, school fun days, university events and community fairs across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and London. The game is indoor and marquee use only and runs off a single 230V mains socket.
Our staff deliver, set up and run the game throughout the hire. We’ve been running events from our workshop in Havant since 2002. All staff hold the RPII operators and supervisors qualification, are first-aid trained, and every member of the team is enhanced-DBS registered. The Mega Wire’s electrics are PAT tested annually, and we carry £10 million public liability insurance.
