High Striker Hire

The High Striker is the fairground strongman game, sometimes called a test-your-strength tester, where you swing the mallet, hit the pad and try to ring the bell at the top. Ours stands around 12 foot tall, and it works just as well at a school fun day as it does at a corporate do where half the office is convinced they can beat the other half.

It is fully mechanical. There is no power supply and no electronics to go wrong: you pick up the mallet, hit the pad, and see how high the puck climbs. The scoring strip up the side tells you exactly how you did, which is half the fun once the competitive types start queuing for another go and the crowd starts offering technique advice.

We've run Monster Event Hire from our unit in Havant since 2002, and the kit is ours. Any operator we send has passed the RPII operator and supervisor exams, is first-aid trained and holds an enhanced DBS certificate, and we carry £10 million public liability insurance with the certificate and risk assessment available on request. We deliver, set up and collect across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and into London, from a village green to a school field to a business park along the A3.
