Student Event Hire Godalming

Student event hire in Godalming is anchored at Godalming College, whose diary we know from repeat bookings. We've run the rodeo bull at their freshers fair two Septembers running, supplied the army assault course for a leavers event, and come back for their leavers fest the following year. The college sits about 40 miles north of the Havant workshop, A3 then the A283 or A3100, and our own crew makes the run.

Freshers at Godalming College

The rodeo bull has been the Godalming College freshers booking in September 2024 and again in September 2025, and both years it gathered the biggest crowd on the floor. A freshers fair wants one big draw plus games with short rounds and visible scores, and that's the shape that works: the bull as the headline, the high striker and the buzz wire picking up the queue, and a staffed photo booth printing on the night for anyone who wants a memento of their first week.

Welcome days and the first-week socials that follow run on the same logic, with kit that turns a walking crowd round quickly. Where the fair moves out onto grass, the 28ft by 58ft marquee covers the stalls, and it needs level turf for the anchor pins to do their job. That combination, a marquee over the stalls with the games inside and out front, is the freshers setup we run most often.

Leavers, and the summer close

The other Godalming fixture is the leavers run. Their 2025 leavers event had the army assault course out with competitive inflatables alongside, and in May 2026 we were back on campus for the leavers fest. Leavers afternoons want kit that keeps a whole year group moving, and the assault courses, the last man standing sweeper and the rodeo range are the usual picks for that crowd.

From there the calendar widens into the student summer, with summer ball season, sports days and end-of-term socials, plus the graduation celebrations that follow results day once the university offers are in. Sixth form college events across the wider Surrey patch come to us for the same mix, and the indoor electronic games carry the ones that happen in a hall.

Halls, paperwork and the practical bits

A college hall or common room gives you standard 13amp sockets, which runs the dance machine, the arcade corner and the reaction games without a fuss. The rodeo takes a 20ft by 20ft footprint indoors, ceiling height included, and a sports hall usually has both to spare. Outdoor inflatables go out with an anemometer and stop above the 24mph wind cutoff, which is the figure the wind procedure works to.

College bookings come through an events office or the enrichment team, and the paperwork is attached to the quote as standard. We hold £10 million public liability with licensed-premises cover, every inflatable is PIPA-tagged and gets its annual inspection, and each member of the crew is enhanced-DBS registered and first-aid trained. Joanne and David Morris have run the company as a family business since 2002, and the kit is all ours, with nothing sub-hired in.

The Godalming event hire hub carries the full range, with rodeo bull hire Godalming, assault course hire Godalming and photo booth hire Godalming as the student-facing ones. The parents sit at students and freshers and college and university events, and the sweeper and green screen photo booth product pages show the detail.

When you enquire, pass over the college, the event, the date, the hall or field, the timings and the numbers, and say if the year group arrives in blocks across the day. A procurement deadline is worth flagging early. We answer the same day in office hours, Monday to Saturday, 9 to 5.

Well organised. Our students really enjoyed the event
