Corporate Event Hire Godalming
Corporate event hire in Godalming tends to be a smaller, warmer sort of booking: a team building day at a venue in the town, a summer BBQ on a lawn in the Surrey countryside, or the staff party at a country house come December. Godalming is a market town just south of Guildford, about 40 miles north of our workshop in Havant, A3 then the A283 or A3100 for the last stretch. We've been into GU7 and GU8 most weekends through the season since 2002, for school fairs, village fetes and the country-house weddings out among the villages.
Days and evenings in GU7 and GU8
A Godalming corporate booking usually falls one of two ways. There's the structured team building day, run in rotations with teams moving between stations, and there's the relaxed do, a BBQ, a family fun day or a Christmas party where people join in as they please. Godalming College has had us for its leavers event with the army assault course and competitive inflatables, and for a freshers fair with the rodeo bull, so the town has form for organised days with a crowd moving through them.
The venue shapes the kit more than the headcount does. A lawn or park field takes the big pieces, and a village hall or hotel function room takes the plug-in range. The rodeo bull wants a flat patch about 20ft by 20ft with roughly 10ft of clear height above it, which rules out low-beamed rooms but suits most halls. Combat tag archery plays five a side on grass or in a sports hall, and human table football takes two teams of five held on the padded bars, a proper giggle for colleagues who've only ever met across a desk.
Kit for the ground you've got
Out in the open, we'd anchor the day with an assault course and scatter short-round games around it. The 150ft Army course needs six 13amp sockets and a big flat pitch; the 80ft Big Red course manages on three and suits the smaller grounds; Boot Camp Challenge, two lanes and 100ft long, wants four sockets, drive-on access and 110ft of clear space. The Sweeper takes eight players at a time and runs as a knockout, and Dash N Grab does the same in short bursts, so the whole site keeps moving.
For evening dos and smaller rooms, interactive darts, shuffleboard, table tennis, air hockey, the dance machine, arcade machines and a racing simulator all plug into standard sockets, and the photo booth or magic mirror comes staffed. In December the work round Godalming shifts to staff parties further into the countryside, alongside the village-hall fundraisers, and the smaller halls here take the table games and a photo booth as comfortably as the bigger kit.
Crew, paperwork and the trip up
Several items always travel with one of our own crew on them: the Sweeper, the climbing wall, archery, laser clays, human table football, the Multi Sports Arena, pedal go-karts and Dash N Grab. Everyone on that crew has passed the RPII operator and supervisor exams, holds first-aid training and is on the enhanced-DBS register, which matters when a company away day doubles as a family event. Risk assessments and method statements go to whoever's building the procurement file, and the climbing wall, rodeo and Sweeper all carry their ADIPS inspections.
The trip up runs to about 40 miles, A3 north then the A283 or A3100, and the kit for a Godalming booking is our own, nothing hired in through an agency. If a site's slope or access looks wrong for what you've asked for, we'll flag it at the quote stage.
Start with the Godalming event hire hub for the whole picture, then the local pages: assault course hire Godalming, rodeo bull hire Godalming, photo booth hire Godalming and garden games hire in Godalming. The corporate and team building range has its own main page, and the climbing wall and interactive darts are worth a look for indoor plans.
Ring the workshop or use the enquiry form with the date, the venue or postcode, numbers, format, team sizes, timings and what the space is like, including measurements, surface, access and power. If you're an office manager, an HR team or an agency booking on a client's behalf, the same details apply, so tell us roughly what kit you had in mind and any deadline the insurance certificate needs to meet, and we'll price it and send the paperwork over.
All had a fab time even if some of us are still achey to say the least! The rodeo bull was brilliant and your staff member (dave) was fantastic, the best staff party yet. I will certainly be recommending you.
