Student Event Hire Farnham

University and college event hire in Farnham centres on two institutions, the University for the Creative Arts Farnham campus and Farnham College. Between them they run a full student calendar, from freshers and welcome events in September to summer balls and graduation in the early summer. We have covered GU9 and GU10 from our Havant workshop since 2002, and the run out is about 35 miles, A3 then A31.

What the Farnham student year looks like

An arts campus diary runs along the same lines as any university one. Welcome week in September brings the accommodation socials and the SU events, the Christmas ball lands in December, February holds its ball season, and the close of the academic year runs from leavers and summer ball through to graduation events in June and July. Applicants days and taster sessions for prospective students fill the autumn and spring gaps either side.

We haven't run a student event at either Farnham institution to date, and we'd sooner say that plainly. What we bring is working knowledge of student events from the colleges and universities round the region, plus years of school fairs, agricultural shows and weddings around GU9 and GU10, which is where our Farnham history sits. The SU events officer or the college enrichment team that books us gets the same kit list conversation as anywhere else on our books.

The kit we'd send

For a freshers fair or a welcome event, short rounds and visible scores do the work: the high striker, the giant buzz wire, interactive darts and the Batak Pro. Photo booths and the selfie mirror come staffed and print on the night, with the print design tailored to the SU or campus branding. The rodeo bull and the surf simulator carry the evening balls, and the outdoor range, from the climbing wall to laser tag and laser clays, suits a summer ball out on a campus lawn.

Common rooms, SU bars and studio spaces run on standard 13amp sockets, and all the electronic games are plug-in kit on that basis. A rodeo setup wants a square of floor roughly 20 feet by 20 feet plus the ceiling height over it, so the room measurements decide that one. If an outdoor freshers fair needs cover for the stalls, the party marquee goes up, and the anchor pins call for a flat grassed pitch. Outdoor inflatables travel with an anemometer and stop at the 24mph wind cutoff.

Booking through the college or the SU

Sixth form and university bookings both come through an events office or a procurement route, and the compliance pack goes with the first quote: £10 million public liability with licensed-premises cover, risk assessments and method statements. Our inflatables are PIPA-tagged and inspected yearly by the in-house RPII inspector, the electricals are PAT-tested, and every staff member is enhanced-DBS registered and first-aid trained, which counts for a college crowd that includes 16 and 17 year olds.

Monster Event Hire is family-run by Joanne and David Morris, trading since 2002 out of a commercial unit in Havant, and the whole fleet is owned outright with no sub-contracting. Farnham sits about 35 miles north of us, A3 then A31, and our own crew makes the run. We're at the end of the phone Monday to Saturday, 9 to 5, and on Sundays from 10 to 4.

The Farnham event hire hub covers the wider range, and the local pages sit alongside it: rodeo bull hire Farnham, photo booth hire Farnham and garden games hire Farnham. The students and freshers and college and university events parents set out the calendar, and the dance machine and green screen photo booth pages show what the indoor kit looks like.

To get a quote moving, tell us the institution, what the event is, the date and the venue room or lawn, the timings, the expected numbers and whether the students come through in waves. Power and access details help, along with a procurement deadline if one applies. The same-day reply comes from the workshop, and the date stays yours once the numbers are agreed.

We hired the rodeo bull for the 2nd time and the high striker for our students welcome event and it was great! It became quite a challenge amongst the students to see who was best.
