Student Event Hire Andover

Student event hire in Andover mostly means one place, Andover College. The college calendar brings us up for the freshers fair each September, the All That Glitters Christmas event in December and the applicants and taster days across July, and we have been on campus for all of them across the last two years. The run from the yard is around 47 miles.

The Andover College year

We ran the 2025 freshers fair with the green screen photo booth, the dance machine and the giant buzz wire, and came back in September 2026 with the booth again, the Under Pressure reaction game and a bungee run. December belongs to the college's All That Glitters Christmas event, where Rodney the rodeo reindeer, the Christmas photo booth, the Christmas dance machine and the under pressure lights out challenge were all out in the hall together. July is applicants season, three days of it back to back in 2026 with the magic mirror photo booth, plus an application day that put the photo booth and the three in one sports inflatable out on the campus.

A freshers fair runs on footfall, and the kit that earns its place is the kit a student can size up in the ten seconds it takes to walk past. Short rounds with scores on show do that job, which is why the high striker, the buzz wire, the dance machine, interactive darts and the Batak Pro travel to university freshers fairs as often as college ones. Both booths arrive staffed and print on the night, so neither the SU nor the college office is left running one.

Halls, sockets and the campus site

Most of what a college books runs indoors off the standard 13amp sockets a hall or common room is wired with. The rodeo bull and the surf simulator also work indoors given a clear 20ft by 20ft and the ceiling height to match, and the electronic games sit anywhere within reach of a socket. Whether the September fair sits in the sports hall or out on the campus grass changes the kit list. Outdoor inflatables carry an anemometer and stop at 24mph under a written rule, and cover for the stalls means a marquee, which goes up only on flat grass because of the anchor pins, as we found with the 28ft by 58ft marquee over the Sparsholt College freshers fair.

Bookings arrive through the college's events and enrichment people, and a three-day run like the taster week is a normal booking shape for us. The £10 million public liability certificate, the risk assessment and the method statement are sent with the quote for the procurement file, and with taster days bringing year 11s onto campus, every member of staff we send holds an enhanced-DBS registration.

The company side is simple to check: Joanne and David Morris have run the business from a commercial unit in Havant since 2002, every inflatable is PIPA tagged and inspected each year by our in-house RPII inspector, the electrical kit is PAT tested, and the crew have passed the RPII operator and supervisor exams.

Andover sits around 47 miles north-west of the yard, A3 then M3 then A303, and the college dates go into the diary early because September and July fill quickly. The leavers and graduation window in between keeps the student side of the diary just as full, so early enquiries help.

The Andover event hire hub lists everything we run in the town, and the photo booth hire Andover and rodeo bull hire Andover pages break the individual kit out, with the assault course hire Andover page covering the outdoor pieces. The full student range sits on the student and freshers events and college and university events pages, and the green screen photo booth and bungee run are the two items this college books most.

For a quote, send the institution, the event type and date, the room or site, the timings, the rough numbers and whether the year groups come through in shifts, plus any procurement deadline the office is working to. The socket positions and the access route are worth including as well, and we will flag anything that will not fit before you commit.

Monster Event Hire were absolutely brilliant, from swift email communication to attentive service on the day. The students, 250 of them, had an incredible time and Dave and the girls were outstanding. I would definitely use them again and look forward to developing this over the coming years.
