Corporate Event Hire Oxford
Corporate event hire in Oxford leans on the university and college calendar as much as the business one, from department away days and staff parties to the conferences and corporate events the city hosts year round. It's about 75 miles north-west of our Havant workshop, A34 most of the way, and the crew that loads the van at home is the crew that sets it up in Oxford.
What Oxford companies book
An Oxford away day or staff party usually takes one of a handful of shapes: a company sports day with heats between teams, a rotation-based team building day for a new intake or a department, or a Christmas party in a hotel function room. City and college venues bring their own constraints, with quads, arches and narrow gateways that a lorry can't always get near, so tell us the access situation early and we'll check the fit before anything is confirmed.
The big courses are the usual anchor for a sports day. The two-lane Boot Camp Challenge needs four 13amp sockets, drive-on access and at least 110ft of clear flat space, the 150ft Army course runs on six sockets, and the 80ft Big Red course uses three with driveable access. Between the heats, human table football takes two teams of five, and short-round games like Dash N Grab keep a large intake moving.
The job we're proudest of up there was a graduate event for the Science and Technology Facilities Council at Cosener's House in Abingdon, where the organiser went on to recommend us by name in the report written for senior managers and the following year's graduates. We also run PIPA inspections for other organisations in Oxford, which keeps us honest about the standard our own inflatables are held to.
For the indoor side, hotel ballrooms and college function rooms take the plug-in range: interactive darts, arcade machines, table tennis, shuffleboard, air hockey, the dance machine and a photo booth, each running from a standard 13amp socket, several of them with one of our staff beside them. A December staff party or an awards night in the city can be built entirely from that list.
Paperwork and practicalities
Some kit always travels with an operator, and the Sweeper, the climbing wall, archery, laser clays, human table football, the Multi Sports Arena and the pedal go-karts are the main ones. Every inflatable carries a PIPA tag and goes through our in-house RPII inspector's annual check, the electricals are PAT tested, and every member of the team is enhanced-DBS registered and first-aid trained. Risk assessments and method statements are ready for the procurement file whenever the college or venue office asks for them.
The Oxford event hire hub covers everything we bring up the A34, and the garden games hire in Oxford page sets out the giant games and golf courses with the space each one needs. Formats and staffing are explained on the corporate team building page, and interactive darts is a good example of the indoor pieces that suit a college room.
A quote starts with the basics: the date, the venue or postcode, delegate numbers, the format, team sizes and timings, plus the room or ground measurements, the surface, the access route and what power is available. Tell us the rough product mix you have in mind and any procurement deadline, and we'll come back with prices and the paperwork.
All had a fab time even if some of us are still achey to say the least! The rodeo bull was brilliant and your staff member (dave) was fantastic, the best staff party yet. I will certainly be recommending you.
