Student Event Hire Fareham

Student event hire in Fareham centres on Fareham College, plus the sixth forms and school leavers dates across the PO14 to PO17 patch. September brings the welcome events and freshers fairs, December and February the balls, and the leavers days and summer ball run May into July. The workshop is eleven miles back along the M27, about twenty minutes, so Fareham is one of the towns where we can be flexible on timing.

A diary that runs close to home

Being this close to the depot changes what a college booking can look like. A single attraction sent over for an afternoon, a midweek date, or an addition made with a few days' notice are all ordinary Fareham work, and the leavers season in June and July fills the diary with short runs up and down the M27.

The college year follows the shape you'd expect. September's freshers and welcome events want walk-past attractions with scores on show, the winter balls want evening kit, and the applicants days, taster days and leavers events stack up from spring into the summer ball.

The kit that fits

For the fairs and welcome events we'd send the high striker, the giant buzz wire, the dance machine, Under Pressure, interactive darts or Batak Pro, which are all indoor plug-in games on 13amp sockets. A photo booth arrives staffed and prints on the night, leaving the enrichment team free to be with the students.

Leavers days and balls with outdoor space take the climbing wall, laser tag, laser clays and the assault courses, with the rodeo bull or surf simulator as the evening's centrepiece. The rodeo asks for about 20ft by 20ft of clear space and ceiling height indoors, and a marquee for outdoor stalls needs flat grass for its anchor pins.

The Christmas ball season draws on the same fleet, with the rodeo reindeer and the Christmas photo booth out from November.

Booking through the college

College and university bookings here mostly travel through an events or enrichment office, and the documents are on file ready: the insurance certificate, the risk assessment and the method statement. Multi-day applicants weeks are routine, three-day taster runs included, and where under-18s attend, the DBS status of the crew is the first question, and the easiest to answer.

Every inflatable in the fleet is PIPA tagged and checked over each year by our in-house RPII inspector, and the electricals carry current PAT certificates. The crew have passed the RPII operator and supervisor exams, and the phone at the Havant depot is answered Monday to Saturday, nine to five.

Start at the Fareham event hire hub, then the rodeo bull hire and photo booth hire pages for the student staples, with the shooting games hire page covering the laser clays that leavers days go for. The students and freshers and college and university events parents set out the whole range, and the sweeper page has the last man standing detail.

For a quote, an email with the college, the event, the date, the room or field, the timings and the expected numbers will do, with a note on power, access and any procurement deadline. Tell us whether the students come through in waves and we'll staff the attractions to match.

Arranging a BBQ for over 120 children and adults is quite stressful but with their professionalism, everything ran smoothly.
