Student Event Hire Basingstoke

Student event hire in Basingstoke means the town's two colleges, BCoT and Queen Mary's College, and the freshers fairs, welcome days and leavers events their calendars run to. Neither college is on our student diary yet, so this page is about what the kit does and how a college books it. Basingstoke is about 38 miles up the A3 and M3, which keeps it among our regular runs.

Two colleges and their calendars

BCoT and Queen Mary's College between them cover further education and sixth form study in the town, and their events or enrichment teams are the people who book entertainment of this kind. The year turns from the September freshers fair and autumn welcome days, by way of the December do, to the applicants days and the leavers and graduation season from May into July.

A freshers fair on a campus concourse wants the same things everywhere: short rounds, scores on show and a queue students can join without signing up. Will the fair run along the concourse or fill the sports hall? That answer decides how much of the outdoor list is even in play. The high striker, the buzz wire, the dance machine and the Batak Pro all do that job, and the photo booths and selfie mirrors arrive staffed and print on the night, with the college's own branding able to go on the skin.

For the evenings, the rodeo bull and the surf simulator headline a summer ball, and the under pressure game and the lights out challenge suit a darkened hall. The rodeo takes 20ft by 20ft of clear floor and enough height for the machine to buck, so a sports hall takes it where a common room will not. Outdoor leavers afternoons can take the climbing wall, laser tag or the assault courses, and anything inflatable out on the grass carries an anemometer and stops working at 24mph, with the rule written down for the site team.

Booking through a college office

College bookings come through an events office, a students union or a procurement route, sometimes all three in sequence. The £10 million public liability certificate, the risk assessment and the method statement go out on request for the file, and where the students include sixteen and seventeen year olds, the enhanced-DBS registration held by every member of our staff is usually the line that matters on the sign-off. An applicants week spread across several days is a routine summer booking for us.

The business is family-run, with Joanne and David Morris at the helm since 2002 out of the commercial unit in Havant, and the whole fleet is owned outright with nothing sub-hired in. The office answers Monday to Saturday nine to five and Sundays ten to four.

Basingstoke is around 38 miles north of us, A3 then the M3, and the town's business parks at Chineham, Houndmills and Viables fill the corporate side of our diary there. College dates through term would travel on the same lorry runs as the corporate ones.

The Basingstoke event hire hub has the full local list, and the photo booth hire Basingstoke, rodeo bull hire Basingstoke and assault course hire Basingstoke pages cover the kit a college day usually wants. The student range sits on the students and freshers and college and university events pages, and the magic selfie mirror and sweeper are two that travel well to a college hall.

When you ask for a quote, name the college and the event, the date, the hall or field, the timings and the expected numbers, and note whether the timetable brings groups through in waves. The socket positions, the loading route and any procurement deadline all shape what we bring, so include them if you have them.

Arranging a BBQ for over 120 children and adults is quite stressful but with their professionalism, everything ran smoothly.
