Do you provide someone to run the course, or do we supervise it?
We bring the course in, set and test it, and then run the Surrey supervisors through how it works. On the Surrey day your marshals can run it, or a trained operator of ours can stay on. Tell us which you would prefer when you book the Surrey course.
How much room and power does a large assault course need?
For the long Surrey Army units, plan on level ground, anchor space down the sides and an access route without kinks. They run off two or three standard 13amp sockets depending on the unit; for field and parade-ground sites with no power we bring a generator. Send us the venue, access route and surface at quote stage and we will flag anything unsuitable.
Is the course safe in wind?
Outdoor Surrey hires include the anemometer and the documented wind procedure. A competent adult reads the wind every thirty minutes, and 24mph (Force 5 on the Beaufort scale) clears and switches off the Surrey course. PIPA tags on the Surrey courses are kept current at the annual inspection round run by our in-house RPII inspector.
