56ft Party Time Assault Course Hire

The Party Time Assault Course - sometimes called an inflatable obstacle course or party fun run - is our 56ft inflatable with a space-themed design running through every section of it. You've got rockets, stars, planets, coloured shapes, the lot, across red, blue and yellow panels with mesh windows set into the side walls so you can see what's going on from outside. It's bright rather than subtle, and the theme works across the age range without being too childish for the adults or too serious for the kids.

The course, from start to finish

You come into the run section first, where there are three large vertical inflatable columns to get past - orange on the outside, yellow in the middle, all set across the width of the course so you have to push through them rather than round them. That's the biff and bash. From there you go into a tunnel under a teal archway with a pink rim around the opening, then you meet the mangles, and finally you climb up and over a slide. The slide has a red surface with the space-themed artwork printed across it, a blue canopy over the top and a landing area at the bottom on the blue padded base.

The whole thing runs front to back in a straight line, so the queue forms at one end and the finishers come off the slide at the other. It's the right shape for laying down a row of spectators along one side at a sports day or a school fair.

What you need on site

  • Length: 56ft, and you need some extra room past that at both ends for access
  • Width: 12ft, with room either side for people to walk round
  • Height: 13ft at the tallest point
  • Power: two standard 13-amp household sockets within reach of the blowers
  • Surface: grass or hard standing, level and clear of sharp objects
  • Access: enough width from the road to the site to wheel the rolled sections through; if you're not sure, send us a photo and we'll tell you

Where it works

It tends to do well at children's birthday parties, school sports days and reward days, Scout and Guide group events, village fetes and community fun days, corporate family days and summer barbecues, and university student-union events. We've run it at a few weddings too, usually on the lawn outside the reception while the speeches are on, and it works fine indoors in a sports hall or marquee as long as the ceiling height clears 13ft.

If you're putting on a larger day, the Party Time course pairs sensibly with our 150ft Army Assault Course, the 85ft Jungle Assault Course, or the Fun Fair Assault Course if you need something longer or differently themed. The kit, the people, and the paperwork

The course is ours, stored at our unit in Havant and owned outright, not sub-hired from a third party. We've run Monster Event Hire from Unit 9 South Leigh Farm, Havant, PO9 2NX, since 2002, and Joanne and David Morris own the business between them.

Our staff are RPII-examined for operating and supervising inflatables, first-aid trained, and enhanced-DBS registered - which matters if your event involves children, schools, or vulnerable adults. The blowers and electrics are PAT-tested every year, and every inflatable in our fleet carries a PIPA tag traceable against the national database. We carry £10 million public liability insurance, indoors and outdoors, and the certificate is yours on request. If your venue holds a licence - a pub, a club, a bar - we carry the additional licensed-premises cover that small operators tend not to, so you won't get turned away at the last minute for lack of paperwork.

We put a risk assessment and method statement together for every booking, and every inflatable hire comes with an anemometer and a written wind-safety procedure: 24mph cutoff, mandatory evacuation, recordings every half hour by whoever's in charge on your end. That's the same protocol whether it's a ten-grand corporate day or a child's party in a back garden.

The Party Time course is self-supervised hire, which means you or someone you nominate keeps an eye on it while it's running. If you'd rather one of our staff ran it for you, we can quote for that too.

What our customers say

Coldstream Guards Welfare said: "We have hired from this company several times, we last used them for our families day in August. All the guests enjoyed the entertainment and the children loved the assault course and sweeper. The staff were very helpful and professional and the prices for a few hours entertainment are very good."

Mark Gidney from the 3rd Emsworth Boys' Brigade said: "Little Monsters supplied us with a bouncy castle assault course, bungee eliminator and human table football. The kids loved them! Little Monsters team are really efficient and all the inflatables were put up exactly where we asked."

Where we cover

We deliver and set up the Party Time course across Hampshire, Surrey, West Sussex and into London, from Portsmouth and Southampton up to Basingstoke, Guildford and Havant. If you're outside that, give us a ring and we'll let you know if the journey works.

Have a look, give us a call on the number at the top of the page or fill in the contact form and Joanne will put a quote together that accounts for travel, staff, duration and whatever else you're hiring alongside it. We don't publish flat rates because every job comes out differently once you've totted up the variables, but we only quote on jobs we can actually do and we don't push upsells or tack on extras you don't need.

Frequently asked questions

What makes the Party Time course different from your Army or Jungle assault courses?

The Party Time course has a bright space-and-celebrations theme with rockets, stars and coloured shapes across red, blue and yellow panels. The Army courses have camouflage greens and a military look, the Jungle courses are all greens and animal prints. The Party Time is also 56ft, which puts it in the middle of our range - shorter than the 75ft, 85ft and 150ft courses, longer than the 50ft. Obstacle-wise they're all variations on the same idea (columns, tunnels, mangles, slides) but the colours and artwork set the tone for each one.

How wide is it - will it fit through my gate?

The course itself is 12ft wide when it's up, but it's deflated and rolled in sections for transport so the width of the packed-down rolls is what matters for access. We need a path or gateway wide enough to wheel the sections through on a sack truck - about three feet is usually fine. If your access route is narrow or has a tight corner, send us a photo and we'll have a look before we quote.

What's in the run section at the start of the course?

Three large vertical inflatable columns stand across the width: the outer ones are orange, the middle one is yellow. They're soft PVC, cylindrical, a couple of feet across each, and you can't walk round them because they fill the width of the course. You push through them to get past, and then you're straight into the tunnel. It's designed so there's no sneaking round the outside.
