Christmas Entertainment Windsor

Windsor's December work grows out of the school year we already run there: the boarding schools around the town turn to Christmas dos once the term closes, and the barracks and venues nearby fill the diary around them. The town sits round about 50 miles from the Havant workshop, usually the A3 and M25 or the M3 when the day sends us that way, and Eton College is among the schools we've been up to recently.

Boarding-school dos in Windsor lean on the indoor range: the rodeo reindeer or the rodeo Christmas pudding as the centrepiece where there's room, the magic selfie mirror or Christmas photo booth taking the pictures, and the retro arcade machines, racing simulator and multi-sports arena keeping the halls busy - the arena and the crazy golf were what the Eton boarders had at their fun day in September. Smaller rooms take Whack an Elf and the Christmas mega wire, and family parties run Santa's grotto with the inflatable snow globe.

The Coldstream Guards at Victoria Barracks have had our kit at their families days for years, with the assault course and the sweeper the parts the families remember, and that sort of repeat booking says most of what a Windsor customer needs to know: the kit turns up in good order, the crew runs it properly and the paperwork is ready before anyone asks.

The record behind that: the firm has been Joanne and David Morris's since 2002, working from Havant, and the whole fleet is ours, so the kit that reaches a Windsor hall is the kit we service ourselves between hires. ADIPS certification sits on the rodeo machines, annual PAT testing on the electrics, and the operators are our own staff, RPII-examined, first-aid trained and enhanced-DBS registered. A Windsor quote carries the £10 million public liability certificate, the licensed-premises addition, and the risk assessments and method statements where the venue wants them.

The Windsor event hire page holds the full range for the town, and the student event hire in Windsor page follows the school calendar that most of the December work grows from.

Once the Windsor venue, timings and rough headcount are settled, send them over and the package comes back - and book early, because December Saturdays go first and the staffed pieces follow the operators.

Arranging a BBQ for over 120 children and adults is quite stressful but with their professionalism, everything ran smoothly.

Christmas party entertainment in Windsor - common questions

How far ahead should we book Christmas entertainment in Windsor?

Windsor's December is the fullest month going, and the first two weekends are effectively gone by half term. A Windsor booking works best at six to eight weeks for most items; the reindeer and the grotto on a mid-December Saturday want earlier still, because staffed pieces are short on operators before they are short on kit.

Can you supply several attractions for one Windsor Christmas party?

Most Windsor dates run that way: a rodeo or the snowboard simulator as the centrepiece, the Christmas photo booth in a corner, and two or three electronic games covering the gaps. Combining pieces on one Windsor booking prices better per item, and the whole set travels in one load.

Our Windsor venue is a hotel or pub with a licence. Is that a problem?

No - licensed Windsor venues get sight of the insurance before setup day: the £10 million public liability policy plus the additional licensed-premises cover, certificates attached to the quote.

How much space and power does Christmas entertainment need at a Windsor venue?

Give the reindeer or the snowboard simulator a clear 20ft by 20ft with its own 13amp socket, the photo booths a level 2.3m by 1.25m corner, and every arcade or table game a table and a socket. Windsor room measurements sent early get a confirmed fit before the date is held.
