Toy Story Bouncy Castle Hire

The Toy Story bouncy castle - sometimes called a Woody and Buzz bouncy castle or a Toy Story castle with slide - is an 18ft by 14ft children's inflatable in light blue, dark blue and green, with Woody on one front pillar and Buzz Lightyear on the other, both facing in towards the entrance. The back wall carries the pair of them with a couple of the little green Squeeze Toy Aliens lower down. The bed is bright green, the front step is green with a blue stripe across it, and a small slide is built onto the left side of the castle so children can come back out that way rather than piling out through the entrance.

It is rated for younger children, not for a mixed-age crowd or grown-ups. The 18ft by 14ft footprint is a decent size for a children's birthday party in a back garden, a school fun day, a nursery session, a village fete or a family day where the guests are mostly small. We have run plenty of these over the years, and the Toy Story artwork always goes down well with the under-tens, who know the characters. It is an open-top castle with no roof over the bed, so you can keep an eye on the children from the outside while they bounce. If the forecast looks iffy, an indoor hall is the safer option, and the 9ft height clears most school and village-hall ceilings without a problem.

How we hire it out

We've run Monster Event Hire from our unit in Havant since 2002, and all the kit is ours. The person who delivers and sets up is one of our own staff, not a sub-contractor. Everyone on the road has passed the RPII operator and supervisor exams, is first-aid trained, and is enhanced-DBS registered, which matters when the booking is a school, a nursery, a children's party or any event with young people. The castle is PIPA-tagged and inspected annually by our in-house RPII inspector, and it is built to BS EN 14960:2019. We carry £10 million public liability insurance, with the certificate and the risk assessment available on request, and we hold additional licensed-premises cover, so there is no issue if your venue is a pub, club or social club.

If you are not sure the castle will fit your garden or hall, tell us the venue details when you enquire and we will check it for you. We also keep a 12ft by 14ft pirate bouncy castle and a jungle bouncy castle for tighter spaces or halls with lower ceilings, plus a princess castle with a side slide for younger party-goers. The full range is on the children's bouncy castles page.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Toy Story bouncy castle suitable for adults?

No. This castle is rated for younger children only, so it is not one for the grown-ups to bounce on. If you want a castle that takes adults as well as children, have a look at our Big Top bouncy castle, which is rated for adult and children's use together and comes in larger sizes.

How much space do I need for the 18ft by 14ft Toy Story castle?

The castle itself is 18ft wide by 14ft deep and stands 9ft high, but you want a bit more room than that around it for the blower, the anchor points and the side slide on the left. A flat, well-drained patch of grass or hard standing works best outdoors, and a flat indoor floor works if the ceiling clears 9ft. The things worth flagging when you enquire are any narrow gate or doorway, a slope, a low branch or a low ceiling if you are indoors.

Where is the slide on the Toy Story castle?

The slide is built onto the left side of the castle, as you look at it from the front. It is a small attached side slide, not a separate climb-up-then-slide unit, so children come out of the bounce area and straight down it. You want a bit of clear run-off space on that side when you are working out where to site it.
