Tweenies Box Bouncy Castle 12ft x 12ft

The Tweenies box bouncy castle - a Tweenies-themed castle, also called a box castle or an enclosed bouncy castle - is a small children's castle that is closed in with high walls all round, with a window-style opening at the front instead of an open doorway. It is bright yellow, decorated on the front with the Tweenies characters from the children's TV show and balloons, and it measures 12ft wide by 12ft deep and stands 10ft high. There are crash mats laid at the entrance.

The closed-in design is the point of this one. Most of our castles have an open front so you can watch from outside, but the box castle wraps right round, and the smaller window-style entrance keeps younger children tucked inside rather than wandering straight back out. That is what we mean by more enclosed fun, and it makes the box castle a good pick for younger and smaller children, or for a birthday party where the little ones are the ones doing the bouncing. At 12ft by 12ft it is one of our smaller castles, so it goes into a modest garden that a bigger unit would not.

It is built for children rather than adults, so it suits a children's birthday, a christening, a school fun day, or a church or community do. The box castle wants a flat, well-drained patch of grass or hard standing, with room around it for the blower and the anchoring and a clear way in, and it runs off a standard 13-amp mains socket. The things worth flagging when you enquire are any narrow gate or doorway, a slope, and the 10ft height if it is going somewhere with a low ceiling or low branches overhead.

Komal booked one of our castles at short notice and wrote afterwards to thank us for "the smooth service ... and also for being able to accommodate us at such late notice", adding that "the bouncy castle was loved by all". We can often fit in a last-minute booking, so it is worth asking even if your date is close.

How we hire it out

We've run Monster Event Hire from our unit in Havant since 2002, and all the kit is ours. The person who delivers and sets up is one of our own staff, not a sub-contractor. Everyone on the road has passed the RPII operator and supervisor exams, is first-aid trained, and is enhanced-DBS registered, which matters when you are booking for a children's party, a school or any event with young children. The castle is PIPA-tagged and inspected annually by our in-house RPII inspector, and it is built to BS EN 14960:2019. We carry £10 million public liability insurance, with the certificate and the risk assessment available on request, and we hold additional licensed-premises cover, so there is no issue if your venue is a pub, club or bar.
