Bouncy castles hire Southampton

Bouncy Castle Hire Southampton

Southampton bouncy castle bookings range from school summer fairs in SO14 to SO19 through to community events on the Common and private parties across the city. We have set up in the university grounds and at charity events in the city centre. The same crew, kit and paperwork turn up whether it is a single castle in a back garden or a multi-inflatable corporate fun day.

Bouncy castle hire in Southampton usually starts with one awkward question: who is actually going to use it? A children's birthday party in a tight SO15 garden wants a very different castle from a school fair, university event or family fun day on a bigger site. The smaller children's castles suit younger parties where the bounce area, height and artwork matter more than adult use. The Pirate, Princess, Space, Jungle and Toy Story-style castles are the sort of thing we'd look at first for primary-age children, especially when the organiser wants a clear theme and a manageable footprint. The slide castles give the children a bit more to do and can help the queue move, but they still need the right space around the slide and entrance. For mixed-age Southampton events, the all-ages castles are normally a better fit. The Big Top bouncy castle, Fairground bouncy castle and Celebration castles work better where adults, teenagers and children are all likely to have a go. The 20ft versions, including the Animal Bouncer, need more ground, a wider access route and a sensible layout for queues, so they suit schools, corporate family days and community events better than a small back garden. Southampton sites vary a lot. A hall booking needs enough ceiling height for the castle and room for the blower. A garden needs flat grass or suitable hard standing, a standard 13-amp power supply within reach, and access wide enough to get the inflatable through without dragging it over steps, gravel or awkward corners. For outdoor hires we use an anemometer and stop the inflatable if wind reaches the 24mph cutoff. If you're booking for a school, council site, university site or public event, tell us early so we can send the insurance certificate, risk assessment and method statement with the quote rather than leaving it until the week before. We run the kit from our Havant unit, about 22 miles away by the M27, and we cover Southampton alongside the wider Southampton event hire work. The inflatables are our own fleet, not agency stock, with PIPA tags, annual inspection by our in-house RPII inspector and PAT-tested electrical kit where applicable. Monster Event Hire has been run by Joanne and David since 2002. If the bouncy castle is only part of the plan, it's worth checking the main bouncy castle hire range, the children's bouncy castles page, the adult bouncy castles page, or inflatable assault course hire in Southampton for higher-throughput events. When you enquire, send the date, Southampton postcode, venue type, surface, access details, power situation, timings, expected age range and roughly how many people are coming. We can then steer you towards a castle that fits the site rather than just naming the biggest one on the page. Southampton bookings come in two sizes: the themed party castles - Jungle, Princess, Superheroes, Toy Story and the rest - handle the threes-to-tens birthday crowd, and the 20ft x 20ft Celebration and Fairground units take the fetes and fun days where Southampton crowds are bigger. The bigger castles want a level 20ft by 20ft pitch with a socket within reach, and slopes or tight gates are easiest to solve at the quote stage. A booking in Southampton gets the same kit and the same paperwork as anything closer to our Havant base, where we have worked since 2002: PIPA-tagged inflatables inspected by our own RPII inspector, PAT-tested electrics, enhanced-DBS registered staff and £10 million public liability cover. Risk assessments and method statements are sent on request, and a Southampton venue whose site can't take the kit safely gets flagged before the booking is confirmed. Most Southampton bookings sit alongside something else from the fleet: an inflatable assault course for the older children, a rodeo bull to pull a queue at the fun day, and a photo booth once the evening do starts. The full Southampton event hire range covers the lot.

Thank you for excellent service today for my daughter's birthday party. She had the princess castle and the kids loved it.

Bouncy castle hire in Southampton - common questions

How much does bouncy castle hire in Southampton cost?

Southampton's about 22 miles west of us, M27 most of the way. Send the date, the SO14 to SO19 postcode and the castle, and we'll get a price to you the same day with our own crew doing the delivery and collection.

Will a castle fit a small city garden in SO15?

One of the smaller children's castles often will. The 12ft x 14ft themed castles are the usual pick, but the route from the van matters just as much, since we need at least 36 inches of clear width and no steps to drag the castle over.

Can you set up on the Common or at a university site?

Yes, we've worked both. Public and university sites usually want the insurance certificate, risk assessment and method statement up front, and we'd sooner send those with the quote than the week before.

What do you need from us for power?

A 13amp socket within 20 metres of each blower. A lot of park sites have nothing that close, in which case we bring a generator.
