Fairground Bouncy Castle 20x20ft

The fairground bouncy castle - sometimes called a funfair bouncy castle or a carnival bounce castle - is a 20ft-by-20ft inflatable with bright funfair artwork across the arch and back wall. The design has dodgems on the back wall, roller-coaster cars along the top arch, a ticket-booth pillar on one side and balloons on the other, so it looks like a proper fairground attraction when it is inflated on site.

At 20ft by 20ft this is a large castle. It takes more ground and a wider access route than a standard children's inflatable, so awkward slopes, narrow gates or overhead obstructions are the things to flag when you enquire. A flat, well-drained grass surface or hard standing works best. The arch roof acts as a fitted cover, which is useful if the weather turns during an outdoor event.

It is suitable for adults and children together, which makes it a useful choice for weddings, family parties, school fêtes, corporate fun days and community events where the age range is mixed. We also keep a smaller 15ft-by-16ft version of the same design if your space is tighter.

How we hire it out

We've run Monster Event Hire from our unit in Havant since 2002, and all the kit is ours. The person who delivers and sets up is one of our own staff, not a sub-contractor. Everyone on the road has passed the RPII operator and supervisor exams, is first-aid trained, and is enhanced-DBS registered, which matters if you are booking for a school, a children's party or any event with young people or vulnerable adults. The equipment is PIPA-tagged and inspected annually by our in-house RPII inspector. We carry £10 million public liability insurance, with the certificate available on request, and we hold additional licensed-premises cover, so there is no issue if your venue is a pub, club or bar.

If you are not sure whether a 20ft castle will fit your site, tell us the venue details when you enquire and we will check it for you. We also have the Fairground Bouncy Castle 15ft x 16ft if you need the same look in a smaller footprint, or browse the full range of adult bouncy castles and children's bouncy castles.

Frequently asked questions

How much space do I need for a 20ft fairground castle?

The castle itself is 20ft by 20ft, but you need extra room around it for safe setup, the blower, and access. A flat, well-drained grass area or hard standing works best. The main thing to flag at the quote stage is any narrow gate, awkward slope, or overhead obstruction, because a 20ft unit needs a wider access route than a standard children's castle.

Can adults use this bouncy castle?

Yes. This is a 20ft-by-20ft commercial-grade inflatable rated for adult as well as children's use, which is why it appears in our adult bouncy castles range. The larger footprint and heavier build means it copes with mixed-age groups at weddings, family parties and corporate events.

What happens if it rains during the hire?

The arch roof is a fitted cover that keeps light rain and direct sun off the bounce area, so the castle can usually keep running in showery weather. For safety we monitor wind speed with an anemometer on every outdoor inflatable hire, and if the wind reaches our 24mph cutoff the castle is evacuated until it drops.
