Dragon Bouncy Castle with Slide Hire - Children's Dragon Age Castle
The Dragon bouncy castle - the Happy Hop "Dragon Age" design, sometimes searched for as a dragon castle with slide or a dragon bouncer - is a children's themed castle built around a big blue dragon. The dragon's head and wings wrap around one side of a grey stone-effect castle, with blue-and-gold turrets, a "Dragon Age" banner across the front and a princess painted into the left tower. Children climb in through the red and yellow gothic archway at the front, bounce inside, then come down a yellow slide built into the side, with the dragon's wing arching over it as a mesh canopy.
It is suitable for children only, so this is one for birthday parties, school events, fêtes and family gatherings rather than a mixed adult-and-child hire. If you need a castle that takes grown-ups too, that is a different unit and we will point you at one.
The castle is 18ft by 19ft and stands 16ft high. Once you allow for the blower, the slide run-out and room to anchor it safely, you want a clear space of around 28ft by 25ft with about 17.5ft of headroom. A flat, well-drained grass surface or hard standing works best. The 17.5ft of clearance is the figure that catches people out, so flag any low branches, wires, ceilings or narrow gates when you enquire and we will check it fits before the day.

How we hire it out
We've run Monster Event Hire from our unit in Havant since 2002, and all the kit is ours. The person who delivers and sets up is one of our own staff, not a sub-contractor. Everyone on the road has passed the RPII operator and supervisor exams, is first-aid trained, and is enhanced-DBS registered, which matters when you are booking a children's party, a school event or a community day. The castle is PIPA-tagged and inspected annually by our in-house RPII inspector. We carry £10 million public liability insurance, with the certificate available on request, and we hold additional licensed-premises cover, so there is no issue if your venue is a pub, club or bar.
Children's castles like this one often get booked at short notice for a birthday, and we fit those in where we can. Is the Dragon bouncy castle suitable for adults?
No, this one is built for children only, so it is not rated for adult use the way some of our larger castles are. It suits children at birthday parties, school events and fêtes. If you need a castle that takes adults as well, our big-top and fairground castles are rated for mixed-age use and we can quote one of those instead.
Where is the slide on the Dragon castle?
The slide is built into the side of the unit and comes down in a yellow chute, with the dragon's wing arching over it as a mesh canopy. Children bounce in the main area reached through the archway at the front, then climb up and slide down at the side, so the bounce and the slide are part of the same inflatable rather than a separate piece of kit.
