Jungle Event Slide
Jungle Event Slide Hire - 20ft Jungle Mega Slide
The Jungle Event Slide - also listed as the Jungle Mega Slide or a jungle inflatable slide - is our tall, single-lane themed slide. You climb the steps up the front, under an arch that spells out "THE JUNGLE" in big bubble letters, past a painted hippo, a monkey on a vine and a spotted giraffe, then come down the blue slide bed onto the padded run-off at the bottom. It stands 20ft high with an 11ft 9" drop from the top platform, so it is a proper high slide, not a toddler one.
It suits children and adults, which is what makes it a useful single attraction for a mixed crowd: birthday parties, school fun days, village fêtes, community events, council festivals and corporate family fun days. How many can go on at once depends on height. Up to eight of the smallest children (under 1m) can use it together, fewer as they get taller, down to a single rider for anyone between 1.5m and 1.8m. Children and adults don't slide at the same time, and it needs a responsible adult supervising throughout. We can supply one of our own trained staff to run it if you'd rather not handle that yourselves.
The thing people forget with a slide this size is the headroom. The unit itself sits in a footprint of about 23ft by 15.5ft, but you want a clear, level patch of grass around 32ft long by 24ft wide, and roughly 23ft of clear air above it, so no overhanging branches or cables. We anchor into grass and don't set up on artificial grass, patios, concrete or tarmac. If you're not certain the site will take it, tell us the venue and the surface when you enquire and we'll check it for you.

How we hire it out
We've run Monster Event Hire from our unit in Havant since 2002, and the slide is ours, not sub-hired. The person who delivers and sets it up is one of our own staff. Everyone on the road has passed the RPII operator and supervisor exams, is first-aid trained, and is enhanced-DBS registered, which matters for a school or any event with children about. The slide is PIPA-tagged and inspected every year by our in-house RPII inspector, the only inflatable inspection scheme the HSE recognises. For outdoor hires we bring an anemometer with the kit and follow the standard procedure: wind-speed readings every thirty minutes, and evacuation and shutdown at 24mph (Force 5).
The £10 million public liability certificate and the equipment risk assessment are available on request, and we hold additional licensed-premises cover, which matters if your event is at a pub, club or bar. We cover Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and into London.
For a lower slide that two can race down side by side, the dual-lane Jungle Slide is the more accessible option for younger or mixed groups, and it pairs up with the Jungle Bouncy Castle if you want to keep the theme going. The other tall slides - the Army Slide, Circus Slide, Fairground Slide and Pirate Slide - sit together on the mega slides page. We deliver across Hampshire and Surrey, including Portsmouth and Southampton. Send us the date, the venue and the surface, and we'll come back with what's available and a price.

Hi Joanne,
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for Sunday. The activities were brilliant, the children and staff loved them and the staff who set up and took away were really helpful.
We’ll definitely be in touch for future events.
Thank you again
Frequently asked questions
How much space do I need for the Jungle Event Slide?
The unit footprint is about 23ft long by 15.5ft wide, but the part that catches people out is the height. The slide stands 20ft tall, so you want a clear, level grass area of roughly 32ft by 24ft with about 23ft of clear air above it - no overhanging branches, wires or cables. Tell us the venue and surface when you enquire and we'll confirm it fits.
Can adults use the Jungle Event Slide as well as children?
Yes, it's built for both, but numbers go by height. Up to eight children under 1m can use it at once, six up to 1.3m, four up to 1.5m, and one rider at a time from 1.5m to 1.8m. Children and adults don't go on at the same time, and the slide needs a responsible adult (18 or over) supervising throughout. We can supply one of our own trained, DBS-checked staff to run it if you'd prefer.
What's the difference between the Jungle Event Slide and the Jungle Slide?
They're two separate units. The Jungle Event Slide is this 20ft single-lane mega slide, with height limits and a need for overhead clearance. The Jungle Slide is a 12ft dual-lane slide where two people can climb and race side by side, which is lower and easier for younger or mixed-age groups. Both carry jungle animal artwork.
