Inflatable Slide Hire Surrey

Inflatable slide hire for Surrey runs from the 12ft dual-lane jungle slide up to the 25ft pirate mega slide, and the height is usually the deciding factor. A back-garden birthday around Godalming or Woking takes the 18ft units or the 12ft jungle slide for a mixed-age crowd, while the school fairs, scout camps and corporate family days on the A3 corridor go for the 20ft and 25ft slides that churn through a queue all afternoon. We deliver, anchor and test every slide ourselves, from the same Havant workshop we have worked out of since 2002.

Slides sit well next to a bouncy castle and slide for the small ones when the event is a family one, or an assault course for the older children who want the long run. Everything else going out in the county is on the Surrey event hire page.

Choosing between them comes down to height, lanes and site. The pirate slide is the biggest at 25ft long and 20ft high, a single-lane tropical showpiece for fetes and fun days where it can be seen from the far end of the field. The jungle event slide stands 20ft high with an 11ft 9in drop and animal artwork on the climb, and the army slide and circus slide are the 18ft workhorses, dual-lane and single-lane respectively, with the fairground slide alongside them in funfair colours. The jungle slide at 12ft is the one for younger children and tighter sites, since the jungle event slide carries rider-height limits that the 12ft unit does not.

Space is where Surrey slide bookings need honesty rather than optimism. The jungle event slide wants roughly 32ft by 24ft of clear grass with about 23ft of clear air above it, and the other big ones are close behind, so overhanging branches, marquees and low cables rule a site out before the delivery van has left. We anchor into grass and do not set the slides up on artificial turf, patios, concrete or tarmac, and a hard-standing site gets talked through at quote stage rather than discovered on the day. Access matters too, because these units are heavy and want a route from the van to the pitch without steps or narrow side gates, and each one runs off a standard 13amp socket with a generator for the field sites that have nothing.

Every slide going out to Surrey carries a PIPA tag from the annual inspection round our in-house RPII inspector runs across the fleet, and the blowers are PAT-tested. On the tall slides the rider limits follow height rather than age, up to eight of the smallest children at once on the jungle event slide and a single rider for anyone between 1.5m and 1.8m, with children and adults taking turns rather than mixing. A responsible adult supervises throughout, or we can supply one of our own trained, enhanced-DBS registered operators if the event would rather not run the queue itself.

For schools and councils, the insurance certificate, risk assessment and method statement go out with the Surrey quote as standard, with £10 million public liability behind them. Tell us the venue, the surface, where the nearest socket is and roughly how many riders, and we will match the slide to the site before the date is held.

Just wanted to say that the inflatable was huge hit over the weekend for our Cubs ( and some of the adults !).

Inflatable slide hire in Surrey - common questions

How tall are the inflatable slides?

The range runs 12ft, 18ft, 20ft and 25ft high. The 12ft jungle slide is for younger children and tighter gardens, the 18ft army, circus and fairground slides are the everyday hires for parties and school fairs, and the 20ft jungle event slide and 25ft pirate slide are the fun-day headliners. The jungle event slide carries rider limits by height, and children and adults ride the tall slides in separate turns.

Can a mega slide go indoors?

The 20ft and 25ft slides are outdoor units in practice, because most Surrey halls and marquees do not have the clear air above them. The 12ft jungle slide and the smaller units clear many village-hall and sports-hall ceilings, so if the forecast is the worry, tell us the venue and its ceiling height and we will say which slides it takes.

What surface do you need for a slide?

We stake the slides into grass, and artificial turf, patios, concrete and tarmac are surfaces we do not set the big slides up on. A level, well-drained field or lawn with driveable access from the van is the ideal. If the Surrey site is hard standing or the access is awkward, send the details with the enquiry and we will work out what is possible rather than leave it to the morning.

Who runs the slide on the day?

The hire includes set up, anchoring and a full safety test by our own crew. A responsible adult supervises while it is running, and if you would rather have someone from us on the slide all day, we can supply a trained, enhanced-DBS registered operator to run the queue and keep the turns safe.

Do slides need power on site?

One standard 13amp socket runs the blower, and field sites with no socket within about 50 metres get a generator instead. Tell us where the nearest power is when you enquire and the Surrey quote will cover it either way.
