4 in 1 Carnival Game
The 4 in 1 Carnival Game - Airquee call it the Circus Side Stall Game, and you'll also see it listed as a carnival side stall or a fairground games stall - is a single inflatable with a red and white big-top canopy and a different skill game printed on each of its four sides. Every game uses soft velcro or foam props, so nothing hard or sharp goes near anyone, which is what lets children and adults play it at the same event.
The four sides are toss the tail, where you throw a soft tail at a cartoon donkey to land it in the right place; a velcro ball target with concentric scoring rings marked 10, 50 and so on; battle axe, which is axe throwing with velcro-headed axes that stick to the target on contact, the same kit as our standalone axe throwing inflatable; and a ball toss where you knock a stack of cans down with soft balls. The striped circus canopy and the big-top lettering on each panel tie the whole thing together.

Where it tends to work
It is a children's and family game first, so it tends to go out to school fairs and fun days, village fêtes, community and council festivals, charity fundraisers, corporate family days and birthday parties. Having four games on one footprint keeps a queue moving rather than bunching everyone up at a single stall, which is why it earns its place at busier events.
We have put games like this in front of children at council festivals for years. Lucy Soal of East Hampshire District Council, who has booked us for her festival year after year, said the activities we provide are "an absolute key element to our success and the reason that some kids keep coming back".
Space and headroom
The footprint is small at 4.5m by 2.6m, but the canopy takes it up to 4.4m at the peak, near enough 14 and a half feet. Outdoors that is no bother on a flat patch of grass or hard standing with a bit of room round the edges for the anchor points. Indoors it is the height that catches people out, so check your hall or marquee has the headroom before you book. Tell us the venue when you enquire and we will confirm it fits.
How we hire it out
We have run Monster Event Hire from our unit in Havant since 2002, and the kit is ours rather than sub-hired, so the person who delivers and sets up is one of our own staff. This one usually goes out as a self-supervised hire: we deliver it, set it up and hand it over, and because every game uses soft velcro or foam props there is no blade or power tool for anyone to manage. If you would rather have it run for you, we can supply a trained operator. Everyone on the road has passed the RPII operator and supervisor exams, is first-aid trained and is enhanced-DBS registered, which matters when you are booking around children, schools or a faith community.
The inflatable is PIPA-tagged and inspected annually by our in-house RPII inspector, and for outdoor hires we set up the anemometer and run the standard 24mph wind-speed cutoff, the same as we do with any inflatable. We carry £10 million public liability insurance with additional licensed-premises cover for pubs, clubs and bars, and the certificate is on request.
You can add more games to the spread if four is not enough. We keep giant darts, a high striker and crazy golf in the same stalls and carnival games range, and the circus look sits well next to our big top bouncy castle.
