iWall Strike X

Every game on the iWall, our two-screen gaming wall by CSE Entertainment of Finland, is body-controlled: you stand on the marks on the mat, you move, and the screens respond. Strike X is one of the two space games: a space fighter running a gauntlet of enemy bots. You swing your hands up and down to shoot, and move around on the mat to dodge what's coming back at you, collecting power-ups on the way to the level boss.

Where Space Shooter is the cooperative one, Strike X is the shoot-and-dodge version, and the maker bills it as a test of reaction time, with the balance, timing and coordination you'd expect from the faster games on the wall. It's the arcade end of the unit's menu, and the crowd it pulls is the one that grew up on games like it.

That makes it a good shout for school reward days, birthday parties, youth clubs and exhibitions, where a fast, loud game draws people to the stand and short rounds keep them moving through. The rest of the list, from the ski simulator to parkour, is on the same unit for the group that wants a change.

The wall behind it is our iWall, one of only a handful in the country. It stands freestanding with the mat in front, so it needs a clear run of floor and a socket within reach; send us the room size and numbers and we'll confirm the running space, power and staffing on the quote.
