iWall JumpOn

Our iWall is a two-screen interactive gaming wall from CSE Entertainment in Finland, and every game on it is played by moving: you stand on the marks on the mat and the sensor above the screens does the rest, so there are no controllers to hand out and nothing to collect back at the end of the night. JumpOn is the platform game: you control a robot jumping from platform to platform up a skyscraper, cleaning windows and gathering items as it goes, with the clock running. Miss a step and you fall behind, and the most points before time's up is the winner. The jumping is real, because the robot on screen follows what your legs do.

It's the one for the computer-game crowd - the jumping and timing will be familiar to anyone who grew up on platform games - with the difference that you're doing it with your legs, which is where the workout comes in. The maker credits it with coordination, spatial awareness and cardiovascular work, and two players can go head to head for the most points before the clock runs out.

It suits school reward days, youth clubs, birthday parties and family days, and it draws the crowd that wouldn't put itself down for a sports game. The parkour runs and Strike X sit near it on the same unit's menu for the same audience, and the ski simulator covers everyone else.

The games run on our iWall, and only a handful of those are in the country. It's freestanding with a floor mat in front, so it wants a clear run of floor and a socket within reach, and we'll confirm the exact running space, power and crewing on the quote.
