Shooting games hire Portsmouth

Portsmouth is about eight miles from the Havant workshop, A27 then A2030, so the shooting range comes down with the rest of the kit on the same vans. The range covers the city's mix of school fields, college sites and public parks, and it has been out at military and service events just across the water too - an officers' summer ball at HMS Sultan in July 2026 ran the laser clays alongside the rodeo bull and the western carnival games.

The laser quest arena is the ten-player centrepiece for Portsmouth events. It inflates in sections, so it gets into sports halls and school gyms that a hard arena never would - 35ft by 35ft with 8ft of headroom indoors, or a 40ft by 40ft pitch with 25ft of clearance outside. Our operator runs every game and the changeovers between groups.

The laser clays range takes five shooters at a time over a 30m by 10m run, with replica shotguns, an auto launcher and a scoreboard that plays the breaking-clay sound on every hit. It runs without mains power, which suits the playing fields and park sites around the city, and it works indoors too. Archery is the taught option with RPII-examined instructors and a 40ft by 60ft range, the crossbow challenge is the four-player fete stall, and the Laser Shot booth covers indoor corporate work in a 3m by 4.5m corner.

Everything is our own kit from Havant, delivered by our own first-aid trained, enhanced-DBS registered crews. The £10 million public liability certificate, risk assessments and PAT and PIPA documentation go out with the Portsmouth quote, which is the paperwork the schools, colleges and council venues across PO1 to PO6 ask to see before the day.

The shooting games usually sit inside a bigger Portsmouth spread rather than standing alone - the college welcome days and school reward days we cover on the Portsmouth event hire page pair them with the assault courses and inflatables, and an evening marquee with the photo booths finishes the day.

Send the date, the venue and the rough numbers, and we'll put the mix together - tell us the space you have and we'll confirm which of the range fits before you commit.

Shooting games hire in Portsmouth - common questions

Which shooting games fit a Portsmouth school field?

The laser clays range wants a 30m by 10m run and runs without mains power, and the laser tag arena takes a 40ft by 40ft patch with 25ft of height clearance outdoors. Both are run by our own operators throughout. Send us the site and the measurements and we will confirm the fit before the date is held.

Can the laser tag arena get into a Portsmouth school hall?

Yes. The arena inflates in sections and comes through standard doors, needing about 35ft by 35ft of floor with 8ft of headroom once up. Plenty of Portsmouth school and hall bookings run it indoors, and the same insurance and supervision applies inside as out.

How far in advance should we book for a summer Portsmouth event?

The summer Saturdays fill first across PO1 to PO6, and the staffed shooting games are limited by operators as much as kit. A few weeks' notice is usually comfortable outside peak season; for June and July Saturdays, earlier is safer. Ring or send the form and we will confirm availability the same day.
