iWall Delivery Town

The iWall is an interactive gaming wall: a big two-screen unit, made by CSE Entertainment in Finland, that runs its games off your body. You step onto the marked spots on the floor mat, the sensor above the screens reads how you move, and the game answers, with no controller involved. Delivery Town is the pizza game: be the fastest pizza deliverer, play tag, or team up with a friend to deliver as many pizzas as you can - by land, sea and air, according to the maker. You steer your delivery round the town by moving, with the sensor reading every dodge and turn.

It's fast-paced with a surprise round every corner, per the maker's write-up, and there's a tag mode in among the delivery missions, which is a different sort of chaos when two players are on the mat together. The maker credits it with teamwork, social skills and reaction time, which is the school-booking way of saying it keeps a hall of children busy and happy.

That's exactly where it earns its keep: primary schools, family fun days, birthday parties and the family corner of a corporate event. The age range runs young, and short rounds mean a whole class can rotate through an afternoon. The ski, football and Deepsea Dash games on the same unit cover the rest of the group.

Our iWall is the unit under all of this, one of only a handful in the country. The unit stands on its own feet with the floor mat in front, so it needs clear floor and a socket within reach; the running space, power and staffing are confirmed on the quote.
