iWall Beach Volley

The iWall is a gaming wall - twin screens, a sensor bar above them and a marked mat on the floor - made in Finland by CSE Entertainment, and it runs on movement: you play it with your body, and the games answer. Beach Volley is the volleyball game, and it's one of the newest titles: the maker launched it recently and says it has quickly become one of the most-played games on their walls. Two players face the screens and play the ball by moving for it, on the same floor mat and with the same body-tracking as the rest of the list.

The maker's own video of the game shows two players reaching for the ball together, which is the shape of it. Volleyball players will read it in one round; everyone else gets there by the second, and short rounds mean the pairs waiting behind the mat aren't waiting long. There's no sand to sweep up afterwards, which the venue will thank you for.

It suits the same bookings as the rest of the wall's list: school reward days, college and university events, corporate evenings, family fun days and Christmas parties. The ski simulator, football and parkour games are the other headline acts on the same unit if the group wants a change of sport.

The unit is our iWall, one of only a handful in the country. It's freestanding with a floor mat in front, so it needs a clear run of floor and a socket within reach, and we confirm the running space, power and staffing on the quote once we know the room.
