Rodeo Bull Hire Portsmouth
The rodeo bull is a staffed piece of equipment, not a drop-and-collect inflatable. The operator runs the ride, manages the queue and keeps the pace sensible, which is the bit that matters when you are running a busy event on Southsea Common or a university summer ball with a long queue. Portsmouth is about eight miles from the Havant workshop along the A27 and A2030, so the rodeo and its operator can be on site without much fuss.
Alongside the bull we hire the rodeo pig, sheep, rugby ball, pumpkin, reindeer and Christmas pudding. They cover most of what gets booked in Portsmouth: corporate fun days at the dockyard fringe, charity events on the Common, university and college events, Christmas parties at city-centre venues and weddings that want something with a crowd around it. For formal venues, ring or write and ask for the insurance certificate and risk assessment when you enquire. Tell us the venue, timings, indoor or outdoor, surface and the rough numbers, and we will quote on the right ride for the day rather than the most expensive one in the yard. One machine, seven attachments, and the Portsmouth crowd decides: the bull for the classic booking, the sheep and the pig for family parties, the rugby ball for the sports clubs, and the pumpkin, reindeer and Christmas pudding for the seasonal dos. Every Portsmouth rodeo booking includes the inflatable surround, the LED timer and one of our operators on the control box throughout. A booking in Portsmouth gets the same kit and the same paperwork as anything closer to our Havant base, where we have worked since 2002: PIPA-tagged inflatables inspected by our own RPII inspector, PAT-tested electrics, enhanced-DBS registered staff and £10 million public liability cover. If a Portsmouth venue or council office wants to see the risk assessments and method statements, they go out well before the day, and any site that will not take the rodeo safely gets flagged at quote stage. A rodeo pulls a queue, so it pairs well with the rest of a Portsmouth booking: a bouncy castle or inflatable assault course for the daytime, and a photo booth once the evening do starts. The full Portsmouth event hire range is on one page. In December the machine takes its reindeer or Christmas pudding attachment, and the full Christmas entertainment Portsmouth list covers the rest of the December do.
We had such a great day with the Rodeo Pig, how much fun is that?! Dave was brilliant, and the pig made the party.

Rodeo bull hire in Portsmouth - common questions
Does the rodeo come with an operator in Portsmouth?
Yes. Every Portsmouth rodeo booking is staffed by one of our own trained operators, who controls the speed, runs the queue and keeps the whole thing safe. It is never drop-and-go kit.
How much space and power does a rodeo need at a Portsmouth venue?
The ride and its inflatable surround want about 20ft by 20ft of level Portsmouth space, indoors or on grass, with a 13amp socket in reach. Tell us the Portsmouth venue and surface and we will confirm it fits.
Which rodeo rides can we have at a Portsmouth event?
The Portsmouth booking can take any of the attachments: bull, pig, sheep, rugby ball, pumpkin, reindeer or Christmas pudding, all on the same multi-ride base. The bull is the classic Portsmouth pick; the seasonal attachments cover the Halloween and Christmas parties.
What are the age and height limits for the rodeo in Portsmouth?
The Portsmouth line is 1.2 metres or taller, riders must mount and dismount unaided, and in practice that means ten and up. The operator dials the speed down for younger or nervous riders on Portsmouth bookings, so it is not one-speed-fits-all.
