Garden Games Hire in Alton
Alton's school fairs, village shows and community days run on volunteer timetables, and the games need to fit that rhythm. For garden games hire in Alton and across East Hampshire, we send up the A31 from Havant with giant lawn games that run themselves, two portable golf courses, and one or two staffed challenges for a fixed slot in the programme.
What arrives for a school field
For a school fair we'd normally start with the garden game package: the giant Connect 4 frame, the snakes and ladders mat and the tumble tower. Children and adults share the same games, and with no electricity involved, a corner of the field without a generator works fine. Our crew delivers, sets the games out and collects them afterwards, so nothing lands on the volunteers.
The original crazy golf set is nine flat putting mats, each about 8ft by 2ft, with a windmill and other obstacles and the putters and balls in the kit. On a school field, players need standing room either side of a mat and a walkway between holes, so the area you can mark out for the course is the measurement to send us. Crazy Golf 2 is the second set, from JB Inflatables, with raised artificial-turf holes and painted hazards that read like a proper small course on a show green.
A staffed challenge in the running order
Where the programme calls for an organised slot, combat tag archery puts two teams behind inflatable bunkers with foam-tipped arrows and face masks. Our operator briefs every group and referees the games, so it runs in set sessions for year groups or adult teams. Table tennis covers the wet-weather side if the fair moves into a village hall, needing a flat floor with space behind both players.
We've traded for over twenty years from a commercial unit in Havant, and the paperwork can go straight to your school office or show committee: risk assessments, method statements and the certificate for our £10 million public liability cover.
Alongside the games, the Alton bouncy castle, assault course, rodeo bull, photo booth and Christmas entertainment pages list the rest of what we bring to East Hampshire. You can also browse the full garden games range, the Alton event hub, or the Petersfield garden games page for venues further south. Send us the date, the venue and its surface, the space you can mark out, access details and expected numbers, and we'll put the quote together.
They were all absolutely fantastic and did a really great job of overseeing the activities and encouraging people to join in whenever there were spaces - which I'm pleased to say were not very often.
