Hampshire is the home county. We're based in Havant, with regular delivery runs every weekend from the M27 corridor across to Andover, Basingstoke, Winchester and the Test Valley. From the New Forest fringe to the East Hampshire AONB, and from coastal Portsmouth out to the rural villages, we cover the county year-round.

What we run across the county

Hampshire councils, schools, weddings, charities and corporates have used us since 2002. East Hampshire District Council have been on board continuously since their community festival's first year, and Hampshire-area corporate clients have included CooperVision on staff family days. The same site is also where we run our annual PIPA inspections for other Hampshire hire firms, which means the standards we apply to our own kit are the standards we audit other operators against across the county.

Site details and the paperwork

Sites across the county run from school fields and village greens to festival ground and wedding lawns, and a few details help us plan. The ground rules are the same whichever end of the county: the kit is pitched within 50 metres of where the van stops, the way in is at least 36 inches wide, and every inflatable runs off a 13A socket within 20 metres. The hirer sorts out the van's parking, and if the nearest socket is a long way from the kit, the generator travels with us. On the coastal strip and the South Downs we'll also check the forecast before the day and say straight if the wind will be too much.

The documentation is on hand for any venue, council or events team that asks. The insurance is £10 million public liability with the licensed-premises cover, every inflatable is PIPA tagged with a number you can check on the national database, the electrics are PAT tested, and the risk assessment and method statement go with the booking. Our own crew delivers and runs the jobs, holding the RPII operator and supervisor exams, first-aid and enhanced DBS checks, and outdoor inflatables carry an anemometer with the written 24mph rule.

We have worked with Monster for five years now, from the very first year of our event. Our festival has grown considerably since it’s first year and Monster have supported us along the way with their involvement also growing each year with the festival.

Monster have a great relationship with the young attendees of our event and it’s fair to say that the activities that they provide are an absolute key element to our success and the reason that some kids keep coming back!

I’m sure ours is not the easiest event for Monster as we’re continually changing our requirements right up until the day (and on the day!) but it is never a problem for Joanne and the team who are always able to deliver.
